While visiting Llanes over the weekend, Queen Letizia stepped out in one of her most casual looks to date, proving that flared jeans are the perfect choice at any age.
The stylish royal, 54, was joined by her husband, King Felipe VI, and their daughters, Crown Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofia, for the family engagement on 24 October, during which they presented the 2026 Exemplary Town Award to the Santa Ana Fishermen's Guild in Llanes.
The royals dressed in their most comfortable attire for the day, with Letizia opting for a pair of flattering flared jeans in midnight blue denim. The 70s-style jeans featured a high waist and slim fit, flaring out at the hem to reveal Letizia's choice of brown boots – the perfect autumnal accessory.
The Queen complemented her smart-casual look with a beige sweater, which she layered over a white dress shirt. Letizia bundled up in a short trench-style coat in a deep blue that matched the shade of her jeans.
The royal looked relaxed on the outing with her signature glamorous brown hair styled down straight for the day.
Letizia's family day out
Leonor and Sofia, who have both been busy with their university studies, followed their mother's lead for the engagement on Saturday, both opting for flattering jeans to brave the chilly autumnal weather.
Leonor matched her mother in a pair of midnight blue jeans and brown boots, which she complemented with a jacket and her hair swept back in a braid. Meanwhile, Sofia wore white sneakers to go with her flared jeans and brown suede jacket.
During the day, the royals embarked on a brief tour of a fishing boat which had a small hiccup for Letizia. In footage obtained by HELLO!'s sister publication, HOLA!, Letizia was seen slipping over and hitting the deck. Although aides quickly rushed to her side, the Spanish royal was able to get back onto her feet unaided.
