The Princess of Wales is one of the most stylish members of the British royal family to date.

From her penchant for Alexander McQueen ballgowns to her daytime go-to designers that range from Emilia Wickstead to Erdem - we seldom fail to be enlightened by her sartorial choices.

The same goes for her fashion sense in her 20s, which still now leaves us seriously inspired.

One look in question back in 2009 saw the future Queen rocking a killer pair of skinny jeans, her modellesque legs lengthened with a pair of black cork wedges.

Kate paired her denim contribution with a light green baby-doll-style top and leather jacket.

But the piece de resistance was her trademark locks, which were styled immaculately in a bombshell blow-dry.

The occasion? Kate was supporting her then-boyfriend Prince William, who was competing in a charity polo match alongside his brother, Prince Harry, at Cirencester Park Polo Club.

Kate's best noughties looks

There's nothing we love more than looking back at Kate's fabulous looks throughout her 20s and seeing her transition from high-society sweetheart to future Queen.

One of our favourite looks from the Princess fits in the former, Kate being a vision of summer when she stepped out alongside her equally as beautiful sister, Pippa, when they showed off their Chelsea girl prowess for a night out on the town.

Stepping out at a book launch in the British capital, Pippa chose a plunging satin gown in butter yellow adorned with black and colourful flowers. She paired the look with killer black heels and an of-the-era capped sleeve shrug.

Kate looked equally as fabulous for the outing, wearing a champagne-hued lace gown complete with black patent peep-toe heels. Both sisters opted for the ultimate noughties glam, meaning black kohl liner was on the menu.

At the time, the sister duo lived just a stone's throw away from central London, living in the ever-so-affluent borough of Chelsea, with their younger brother, James Middleton.

The Middleton trio's Chelsea apartment in question was on Old Church Street in Chelsea, which Carole and Michael Middleton had bought back in 2002 for their children to use when working in the city.

The home was formed of three storeys with three bedrooms (one master suite with an en-suite), two bathrooms, a large living room, dining room, kitchen and a guest bathroom.

The bedrooms were all situated on the very top floor.

After Kate married William in 2011, the sisters moved out and the flat was eventually sold in 2018 for £1.95 million.
