Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank confirmed they have been living in a "cosy and love-filled" baby bubble after welcoming their daughter on 3 August.
Announcing her sentimental name on Monday, the royal couple shared three adorable new photos of their baby girl, believed to have been taken by the Princess herself. They included one of her sons August, five, and Ernest, three, being adoring big brothers as they showered baby Adelaide with love.
In the snap, August was dressed in a cheetah print white T-shirt as he placed a soft teddy in his sister's hands, while Ernest watched on in a yellow jumper. Our eyes were drawn immediately to Adelaide's adorable outfit, which was a tiny white onesie covered with pink hearts.
Baby Adelaide's adorable sleepsuit
It appears to be a Rosa & Blue sleepsuit featuring thermo-regulating fabric and a concealed zip. The adorable design is offered in either a two-pack with a plain white version for £58, or as part of a £75 'New Arrival Gift Set' with a matching hat and blanket. The sweet set offers a quintessential royal look, whether selected by her royal parents or received as a celebratory gift.
Another picture showed the newborn in a frilly outfit as she slept soundly underneath a blue blanket.
The doting mother explained in the caption: "2 weeks ago today we welcomed our girl to the world. And since then we've had the most special, cosy and love-filled time.
"We are so happy to share Adelaide Elizabeth Annina Brooksbank. Named after three people we love and admire past and present, including her Great-Grandmother who we hold close in our hearts. Her name is part of English and Portuguese history, two places we love and call home. Augie and Ernie are already the best big brothers."
Princess Eugenie's baby girl's fashion debut
Royal fans caught their first glimpse of Princess Eugenie's daughter on 4 August, when she shared a picture of Adelaide sleeping on her front in a pink onesie with angel wings and a matching white hat with pink heart and butterfly prints.
"Jack and I are so excited to announce Baby Girl Brooksbank!! We are beyond in love with our girlie," she captioned the photo on her personal Instagram account.
For her royal debut, Eugenie chose to dress Adelaide in the £55 'Pointelle Sleepsuit' from Marie-Chantal London, a high-end childrenswear brand founded in 2000 by Crown Princess Marie-Chantal of Greece.
That was not the only royal connection; Eugenie's older sister, Princess Beatrice, also chose to dress her second daughter, Athena, in Marie-Chantal for her first public baby picture. In 2025, she wrapped baby Athena in the dusky pink £225 'Angel Wing cashmere blanket' in first photos shared by Buckingham Palace.
Meaning behind Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank's baby name
Following the baby name announcement, HELLO! spoke to baby naming experts to discover the meaning behind Adelaide's moniker.
SJ Strum, a baby name expert and celebrity name consultant, exclusively told us: "Adelaide is a perfect pick with vintage royal pedigree after Queen Adelaide and literally meaning 'noble', but it’s not overly traditional which is exciting for this next wave of royals. With Auggie and Ernie I’m sure they considered the nickname potential of the name and Addie will fit in perfectly.
"Adelaide is only at 411 in the British charts so she shares her name with only 105 other baby girls in England and Wales. Hitting the edgy romance baby name trend alongside trending girl names like Vienna, Margot and Vivienne, Adelaide is bound to soar up the charts with this royal approval."
Aside from the "edgy romance" first name, Adelaide's middle names also carry special weight. Firstly, Elizabeth was a sweet nod to Eugenie's late grandmother Queen Elizabeth II, but Annina has a secret connection to another royal.
Sophie Kihm, Editor-in-Chief of Nameberry, explained to HELLO!: "Annina is a rare Italian nickname derived from Anne or Anna. You could interpret it to mean 'little Anne' or 'grace,' the meaning of Anne/Anna. Anne is a frequent player in the British Royals family tree. Eugenie has an aunt Anne, and it is the name of six queens of England."
