Princess Kate's favourite dress now comes in autumn 2026's most hyped print

The Princess of Wales famously has over 12 dresses from Beulah London, but it's the 'Ahana' that is arguably the most memorable

The Princess of Wales has been enjoying her summer break with her husband, Prince William, and her children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

Once September arrives, the royal will return to her official duties, and as a fashion editor specialising in royal style, I am looking forward to seeing her step out in a fresh crop of autumnal outfits.

I feel that the royal is the poster girl for autumn fashion. She has a huge collection of resplendent dress coats, and often sports an array of scarves and hats. Kate also has a penchant for A-line dresses with tights.

Kate's 'Ahana' dress is a stunning style

Speaking of dresses, one of Kate's most-worn, off-the-peg styles is the 'Ahana' dress by Beulah London. The royal has the blush-pink version, and it has been emulated by many high street brands after the princess first donned it in 2021.

For Autumn 2026, the Ahana dress now comes in a fabulous navy and white check - the trending print of the season.

The website says of the style: "Our bestselling Ahana Dress has been reimagined in an elegant Navy & White Check, for a classic wardrobe essential. Crafted from a beautiful navy and white cotton, this dress has a full skirt and tailored bodice. The Ahana is an elegant choice for any season, with a fit-and-flare silhouette, a short stand neckline, and an elegant sweeping skirt that is belted at the waist. We love the charming button-front detail."

Kate has worn the brand for many years

Given that Kate often purchases the same items in an array of colours, and this dress is ideal for public meetings and appearances, it's possible that she has already invested in the new colourway.

It's worth noting that the royal often acquires dresses from past seasons and wears them at a later date, so perhaps this style is already hanging in her wardrobe.

The trusty check print has returned for AW26, and it nods to the heritage trend that the royal ladies often embrace in the colder months. From '90s flannel shirts to bouclé textures à la Chanel, tartan is here to stay, and it's a prolific trend the high street has embraced, too.

The 'Ruth Check Corduroy Midi Dress' from Monsoon is plaid perfection in a dress. Designed in corduroy, it features Kate's favourite A-line midi hem and puffed sleeves.

This check-patterned 'Column Midaxi Dress' from New Look has an innate combination of elegance and comfort. Also designed in dark blue, it would be incredible with a black leather jacket or layered up with a blazer.
