The Princess of Wales has switched up her wardrobe in the most stylish way to welcome autumn. Now that we're fully in October, it's clear that the 44-year-old is keen on embracing all things berry - the colour that's unanimously regarded as the shade of the season.
It also has a mystical, almost 'witchy' vibe attached to it due to the earthy stance the tone conveys. Deep burgundy, cranberry, plum and purple will always be prevalent when the temperature drops.
Tonal dressing evokes autumnal leaves and the cooler feeling of the 'ber' months. There's a science to it too; darker shades tend to absorb heat, keeping us toasty.
Last week, Catherine appeared perfectly poised on a royal engagement in West Sussex. Although her grey pussy-bow blouse from Reiss and tailored Ralph Lauren trousers were the ultimate in sartorial style, it was her burgundy accessories that lifted the look: her cranberry Gianvito Rossi 'Gianvito 85' suede pumps and her Smythson 'Leather Day Cross-Body Bag' in the same striking hue.
Last month, Catherine hosted a secret tea party for Three Peaks Challenge participants and their families at Windsor Castle. The royal looked elegant in a chocolate brown-coloured belted dress by the famously English heritage label Burberry. The structured fit-and-flare silhouette offered a clean, monochromatic look. Although it was described as brown, in certain positions, it had a distinct plum undertone.
The mother of Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis turned heads at the London premiere of Tom Cruise's action comedy Digger. Catherine opted for one of her most-worn designer brands, Jenny Packham, in the form of an enchanting, deep purple gown.
The elegant style had an intense colourway which made a bold statement on the red carpet, alongside the cap sleeves, a plunging neckline and semi-sheer detailing. Wearing the Queen Mother's Amethyst Sautoir Necklace was a fitting choice, particularly as the heart-shaped design featured an amethyst and diamond pendant.
For her engagement on the Isle of Bute, Catherine chose to go dark yet again, donning a pair of brown skinny jeans by Holland Cooper alongside a simple turtleneck jumper. Catherine elevated the undeniably casual look with a fabulous new trench coat by Burberry.
With its tailored finish, the chocolate-brown outerwear staple was made even more distinctive by the brand's signature house check lining, visible at the bottom of the hem. However, in certain lights, many remarked it had a cranberry undercurrent.
