Princess Eugenie shared the sweetest carousel of pictures on her Instagram Stories at the weekend, featuring her adorable newborn daughter Adelaide.
The mother of three mused that it's been four weeks since she arrived. Marking the milestone, Princess Beatrice's little sister penned: "4 weeks of you!" In one snap, Eugenie showed her little girl swaddled in a blanket alongside her older brothers, August and Ernest. "Happy days with my babies," she sweetly captioned.
Adelaide's swaddling blanket came from a high-end children's brand, Atelier Choux. Known as the 'Baby Rocking Horse Swaddle', it costs £55 and features a pretty illustration printed on the front.
The organic cotton muslin swaddle is designed for baby boys and baby girls, and is touted as a "non-seasonal piece", meaning it can be used year-round. August and Ernest looked equally stylish in their cute bedtime attire. The brothers donned the sweetest shark-printed pyjamas by Rosa and Blue.
Adelaide's fashion debut
Royal fans caught their first glimpse of Princess Eugenie's daughter on 4 August, when she shared a picture of Adelaide sleeping on her front in a pink onesie with angel wings and a matching white hat with pink heart and butterfly prints.
Eugenie chose high-end childrenswear brand Marie-Chantal London for her daughter's first public outfit - easily recognisable due to the trademark wing detail - a design the brand is universally known for.
The meaning behind Eugenie's daughter's name
Eugenie took two weeks to announce her daughter's name to the world. "Adelaide" was partly inspired by Maria Adelaide of Portugal and William IV's wife, Queen Adelaide. However, there is a subtle connection to Prince William and Princess Kate, too, as the royal couple used to reside at Adelaide Cottage in Windsor.
The baby's middle name, "Elizabeth," is notably a tribute to Eugenie's late paternal grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II. Many royal family members have Elizabeth as their middle name, including both of Princess Beatrice's daughters. While the meaning behind her other middle name, "Annina," has yet to be revealed, it could be a nod to Eugenie's friend, Annina Pfuel.
