On Tuesday evening, Princess Eugenie took to Instagram to announce the joyous news that she has given birth.
The youngest daughter of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson shared the sweetest picture of her third child, a baby girl, with her husband Jack Brooksbank.
The photograph shows the newborn in a delightful first outfit, making her royal debut. Baby girl Brooksbank wore a beautiful pastel pink babygrow and a sweet hat adorned with heart and butterfly prints.
Eugenie chose high-end childrenswear brand Marie-Chantal London for her daughter's first public outfit - easily recognisable due to the trademark wing detail - a design the brand is universally known for.
The baby wore the brand's coveted 'Pointelle Sleepsuit', which has a price tag of £55. The design is adorable, made from cotton and featuring the wings at the back. The printed hat comes in a charming set with mittens and a bib, costing £45.
In a statement issued on Instagram, Eugenie, 36, wrote: "Jack and I are so excited to announce Baby Girl Brooksbank!! We are beyond in love with our girlie."
Style tips from Auntie Beatrice
Eugenie's older sister, Princess Beatrice, also chose to dress her second daughter, Athena, in Marie-Chantal for her first public baby picture.
The wife of Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi shared the news via Buckingham Palace in 2025, which announced the birth online with the cutest picture. In Athena's first sweet snap, the baby can be seen snuggled up in a delightful babygrow and wrapped in the prettiest cashmere blanket, designed by Marie-Chantal.
The £225 staple is known as the 'Angel Wing cashmere blanket' and is designed in a rosy pink. The website says of the style: "Makes a delightful gift for a newborn or a new mama! This makes for the perfect addition to your new baby's pram. Made from the softest pink cashmere, this beautiful blanket features an all-over Angel Wing pointelle motif."
Marie-Chantal - a royal designer
It comes as no surprise that both York sisters chose this brand for their offspring; the label has a distinctive royal connection.
It was founded in 2000 by Marie-Chantal, Crown Princess of Greece. The royal's love of art and design led her to the New York Academy of Art and New York University, before she launched her eponymous line of luxury children's clothing. Sold in London, New York, and Greece, it includes Reese Witherspoon and Princess Caroline of Monaco among its clients.
