The Princess of Wales looked as resplendent as ever on Wednesday morning as she paid a visit to West Sussex for her latest royal engagement. The royal headed to West Sussex Minibus, a volunteer-led community transport organisation, which is celebrating 50 years of service.
Appearing effortlessly stylish, the 44-year-old looked polished, wearing a gorgeous new pussy-bow blouse by Reiss, which she teamed with tailored trousers from one of her favourite designer brands, Ralph Lauren.
The royal wrapped herself up in the most stunning autumnal coat - the Jigsaw 'Wool Maxi City Coat' in a striking charcoal hue- and added a new belt by Victoria Beckham, as well as her trusty Gianvito Rossi ‘Gianvito 85’ burgundy suede pumps.
The royal also debuted a brand new handbag. As a fashion editor who has been specialising in royal style for over ten years, I often notice when Kate adds to her ever-growing collection, and this sumptuous tote came from Smythson. Known as the 'Leather Day Cross-Body Bag', it's actually a past-season buy that the royal must have been keeping for the perfect moment.
Designed in a rich burgundy hue - the trending autumn colour that returns each year without fail - this grainy calfskin construction has a spacious, almost bucket-like shape that's both elegant and classic.
If you want to emulate Kate's new piece of arm candy, there is a variety of similar styles with the same timeless feel. Dune London's 'Dinidestined' bag has a gloriously structured shape with sleek gold hardware, and the 'Celina' bag from Katie Loxton has the same tasteful finish.
Princess Kate's bags
Although you won't see Princess Kate toting a Carrie Bradshaw-style sequin Fendi baguette, she has an eye for high-end bags that many consider to be 'It girl' classics, from Mulberry to Chanel.
Chanel
In 2025, Kate lit up the stadium as she watched a rugby match between England and Australia in aid of the Rugby World Cup.
Royal fans spied her chic handbag, a vintage Chanel number that the royal has only worn a handful of times. Known as the 'Classic Square Mini Flap Bag', it is quite the collector's piece, crafted from timeless leather with a 24kt gold hardware colour combination.
Hermès
In 2023, the Princess headed to Royal Ascot, earning the title of best-dressed in her delightful flowing red number by Alexander McQueen. Nestled subtly under her arm was the now-discontinued 'Rio' envelope clutch bag from Hermès, a very rare piece dating back to the 1990s.
Mulberry
Kate is a long-time Mulberry fan, often wearing the classic label from head to toe. The royal frequently invests in their coats, bags and even fine jewellery.
One of Kate's very first Mulberry bags was a bright pink number, known as the 'Hobo', which was a big hit in the late '90s and early 2000s. The future Queen wore the style on a night out in 2008, where she rocked a green sequin halterneck top, neon-yellow hot pants, pink leg warmers, and knee-high heeled boots for a charity roller disco. Her Mulberry 'Hobo' took centre stage.
