Nicole Kidman's career is definitely on a hot streak. After scoring an Oscar nomination for Moulin Rouge in 2001, she took home the golden boy this year for her acclaimed work in The Hours. And though all of Cannes is abuzz with praise for the Aussie star's turn in Dogville, Nicole says she'd be willing to give it all up – for love.
"I think probably when I fall in love, then that's when I'll stop doing as much because I would want to settle down again," she said at the Cannes Film Festival. "Acting is a burn-out life in a way. You give so much of yourself and you've got to step away from it at some stage."
The gossip mill has churned about Nicole's friendships with her co-stars – including Moulin Rouge's Ewan McGregor and Cold Mountain's Jude Law – as well as her fellow Oscar winner, best actor Adrien Brody.
Though Adrien, who accompanied the 35-year-old star to a high-profile event in New York recently, also stepped out for the Dogville premiere, the actress says they're just pals.
"There is no one," she said of her love life. "Adrien is a fun friend and we like to hang out. He's got a girlfriend."
