This morning it was announced that YouTuber Joe Sugg will appear in the upcoming series of Strictly Come Dancing, and we can’t wait to see the 26-year-old swap the laptop screen for the silver screen. The multi-talented vlogger may have said on his Twitter that he "can’t dance" (but that he appreciates the opportunity and support), yet we’ve unearthed an old video of him in the 2014 series of Got to Dance - where he’s even giving a dancing tutorial!

The former roof thatcher shows off his skills in the ‘Dance Illusion Tutorial’, where two couples were taught a particularly tricky dance move by Chris and Wes (who later won the contest). Joe manages to pull off the move so well that his opponents concede that he won the competition - so is this a sign that he will be successful on Strictly? He also shows off his slightly cheeky sense of humour; when his partner is instructed to hold him, he whispers "be gentle" - although he may have to get used to some tight embraces while pulling off the slightly more complicated moves…

He appears confident in the competition

Joe has already lent his skills to vlogging, film-making, and writing, and his YouTube fans will certainly be rooting for the social media star. He was a member of the YouTube boyband that raised money for Comic Relief, and was also part of the 2014 version of Do They Know It’s Christmas? as part of Band Aid 30. He often features alongside his sister, Zoella, in various challenge videos on YouTube, and has over one billion views on his channel - so there will certainly be a lot of fans awaiting his Strictly debut. Other confirmed contestants for this series are author and philanthropist Katie Piper, former Steps star Faye Tozer, and actor Danny John Jules.
