Fans were loving the arrival of Daisy May Cooper and her father, Paul, on Celebrity Gogglebox last week - however, there were also plenty of people who took to social media wanting to find out more about the actress and comedian - and what she is best known for. Ahead of Friday's episode of the popular Channel 4 show, find out everything you need to know about Daisy here...

The actress is perhaps best known for writing and starring in the popular BBC Three comedy series This Country as Kerry opposite her real-life brother, Charlie Cooper, who plays her cousin Kurtan in the show. The series is a mockumentary that looks at youths living in the countryside, and earned Daisy the BAFTA for Best Female Comedy Performance in 2018.

The third and final series concluded in 2020, and Daisy has gone onto star opposite Dev Patel and Tilda Swinton in The Personal History of David Copperfield, and has also appeared in Avenue 5 as Sarah, a member of the bridge crew. 

Daisy is also well known for her red carpet attire, as she previously attended the BAFTA awards in both a dress-version of a Swindon football shirt, and in a gown fashioned from bin liners (along with a bin lid hat).

The comedian has also hugely entertaining on social media, and often shares photos and clips of her young daughter Pip, who she nicknames Buckbeak. She also recently revealed an ongoing conversation she had been enjoying with a scam account. Nicknaming him 'the sea captain', Daisy shared a series of posts where she attempted to begin a 'romance' with the account, leading to other stars including Kate Thornton and Katie Piper joining in on the hilarious situation.

Daisy recently hit back after a Twitter user called her a "troll" on Celebrity Gogglebox by sharing a snap of herself dancing in front of the comment to Girls Just Wanna Have Fun. She cheekily captioned the post: "Haters gonna hate but I'm gonna carry on letting my hooters swing."
