"I was just worried in ninth grade that I wouldn't have the wherewithal to hold it, you know?" Jenna and her co-host, Hoda, along with Amy, couldn't help but laugh at the relatable confession.

The 51-year-old Parks and Recreation star, teased that Jenna’s journals "were like, 'You can do it. You can hold it. Hang in there, you're so close!'"

The Sisters First co-author, now happily married to Henry Hager since 2008, reflected on her teenage insecurities, pondering, "What if you're not able to do it?" She chose not to reveal any further details about when she eventually lost her virginity.

Jenna, mother to Mila, 10, Poppy, 7, and Hal, 3, admitted that the diary entry was "an embarrassing post to look back at."

Amy, in turn, shared her own unique approach to handling potentially embarrassing personal items.

She keeps "special things in a box that says 'throw away'" so that her family won't discover them after she's gone. The actress and comedian shares sons Archie, 14, and Abel, 12, with her ex-husband, Will Arnett.

Amy also divulged some of her own childhood diary entries, saying: "I think a lot of mine is about relationships, and I think a lot of mine is just, you know, the amount of love I gave to a person that was maybe not the right person to give [it to]."

Jenna has a history of being open about her personal life on the show. She confessed in a November 2022 episode that she never wears underwear, explaining: "I think it makes a more pretty silhouette," and adding, "I also think you don't have to pack as much. There's a lot of pros to it."

Joking about her mother's reaction, she said: "I'm sure my mom [Laura Bush] has never been more proud."
