Taylor Swift scoops 5 Emmy nominations days after Travis Kelce wedding

Taylor Swift is entering her Emmys  era.

Fresh off her nuptials to Travis Kelce, the singer has received more good news as Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour — The Final Show has been nominated in five categories at the 2026 Emmy Awards.

Taylor has been nominated for Outstanding Variety Special (Pre-Recorded), where she has been acknowledged as a performer and producer, alongside executive producers Baz Halpin, Mark Bracco, and Linda Gierahn, as well as supervising producer Rose-Ellen Galluzzo, and Bradley Stein, a line producer.

The Final Show also has nominations for directing for a variety special (Glenn Weiss), picture editing for variety programming, sound mixing for a variety series or special, and technical direction and camerawork for a special.

The Final Show was produced by Taylor Swift Productions, in association with Silent House Productions.

Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour — The Final Show was released in December 2025 at the conclusion of the 20-month long Eras Tour, a historic and record-breaking global tour that generated over $2 billion in ticket sales across 149 shows.

It is now the highest-grossing tour of all time by any artist in any genre.

The concert film was filmed in Vancouver and was an expanded version of the 2023 theatrical release, including the additional The Tortured Poets Department set, which was incorporated into the show in May 2014 after the album's surprise release.

The Final Show also featured new acoustic medleys and never-before-seen backstage footage.

"It was the End of an Era and we knew it. We wanted to remember every moment leading up to the culmination of the most important and intense chapter of our lives, so we allowed filmmakers to capture this tour and all the stories woven throughout it as it wound down. And to film the final show in its entirety," Taylor shared with fans in October 2025, confirming the release of the concert film.

The Emmy nominations come as Taylor is also expected to campaign for her first Oscars nomination. The 36-year-old released the original song "I Knew It, I Knew You" for Toy Story 5 to critical acclaim. 

The country-tinged song will be a frontrunner for Best Original Song, and if Taylor wins the Emmy and the Oscar, she will be only one step away from EGOT status, only missing the Tony win.

Taylor tied the knot with NFL star Travis on July 3, 2026

The celebrity couple said "I Do" in front of a reported 1,000 plus guests in a revamped Madison Square Garden following a much smaller rehearsal dinner in the same venue the day prior.

Actor Adam Sandler officiated the wedding, with the pair forgoing traditional wedding parties, choosing Travis' brother Jason as Travis' Best Man and Taylor's brother Austin as Man of Honor.
