Robin Roberts joined her GMA co-stars at showbiz's wedding of the year - and she looked fantastic! The TV star and her wife, Amber Laign, were among the approximately 1,000 guests who attended Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding on July 3, held at New York City's Madison Square Garden.
On July 5, Robin took to Instagram to share a few sneak-preview pictures ahead of the ceremony, including some of her and Amber getting ready to leave their apartment to attend the nuptials. In one picture, the couple looked glamorous dressed in gowns, with Robin wearing a floor-length glittery red dress with a scoop neckline, while Amber opted for a stunning blue dress with drape detailing.
The pair posed for their picture in their living room, and Robin captioned it: "Friday was a very special date night!" Another picture saw the couple posing outside their apartment door, with the caption: "Had no idea what to expect, but we were ready for it."
Robin wasn't the only GMA star to attend Taylor and Travis' wedding; Michael Strahan and George Stephanopoulos were also among the guests.
George described the ceremony to ABC colleague Sophie Flay the following day. He said: "The ceremony was great. Adam Sandler, funny and touching. Vows, everything you would hope for: real, vulnerable, serious and silly. Who knew that a wedding in Madison Square Garden could be so intimate."
Other celebrities in attendance included Selena Gomez, Ed Sheeran, Gracie Abrams, Brad Pitt, Gigi Hadid, Bradley Cooper, Reese Witherspoon, Hugh Grant and Patrick Mahomes, while Adam Sandler officiated the ceremony. When they were married, Madison Square Garden confirmed the happy news by illuminating its exterior digital screens with the message: "JUST&T MARRIED!", while also referencing Taylor's iconic hit "Love Story" on social media.
The "Love Story" singer rented the venue for a multi-day event, with a smaller ceremony planned for July 2 in front of 100 guests and a larger celebration the following day. A permit was filed to shut down the streets surrounding MSG with an authorization to erect a canopy or tent outside the arena for 500-999 guests. The permit was filed by event planning company Winick Productions for July 2-4. Additionally, there are no scheduled events at MSG between June 29 and July 6.
Taylor and Travis have yet to share photos of their special day, but many of their celebrity guests have posted glimpses from the wedding on social media. Among the first to post was personal trainer Rob Jordan's wife, Joann Jordan, who shared two photographs from inside the iconic New York venue.
One image showed the couple ascending a sweeping staircase dressed in a rich red carpet, framed by dramatic white and deep pink drapery that transformed the famous arena into an elegant wedding venue. At the top of the staircase, Madison Square Garden staff dressed in black could be seen welcoming guests into what appeared to be the ceremony entrance.
A second photograph captured the couple posing on another grand staircase beneath a sparkling silver chandelier, with oversized wooden doors providing an elegant backdrop. "An unforgettable evening in New York celebrating the beginning of a beautiful new chapter for our dear friends, Travis and Taylor," she wrote alongside the images. "Love was in the air, the city was magical, and every detail was simply unforgettable!"
Several friends and family members have also spoken out about the big day, with Travis' mom, Donna Kelce, calling it "magical".
