Mariska will host the 78th Emmy Awards

SVU star Mariska Hargitay will present the Emmy Awards on September 14. The Pitt has 25 nominations including 13 acting nods for its second season, and awards watchers are eagerly waiting to see if the show can improve on its first season haul. 

Hacks is also hoping to win big for its final season, while returning shows also include The Diplomat, Paradise, and Slow Horses going up against newcomers Pluribus, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, Task, and Widow's Bay. All eyes will also be on Heated Rivalry's Connor Storrie who scooped his first-ever Emmy nomination for his turn as a guest host on Saturday Night Live.
