In recent years, we’ve watched facial aesthetics boom: anti-wrinkle injections (A.K.A Botox), dermal fillers and skin boosters are all commonplace in clinics, and research suggests that as many as 26% of women have dabbled in tweakments.
But what about aesthetic treatments for the body? Well, it turns out, this segment of the industry is catching up with its facial counterpart.
- A growing number of midlife women are using at-home body contouring devices
- Magnitone's Diablo Pro has gained a cult following for how 'powerful' it is at tightening sagging skin
- The handheld device can improve skin laxity in as little as six weeks if you use it for 10 minutes a day
Treatments designed to tighten, tone and sculpt the body are becoming increasingly popular in clinics across the UK. But there’s a catch: they’re often expensive and time-consuming.
As a result, more women (particularly those in midlife) are turning to at-home devices that promise professional-style body contouring results. And one brand helping drive this shift is Magnitone.
You may have heard of Magnitone before. But if you haven’t, allow me to introduce you. It is a British beauty tool brand founded in 2013 with a mission to improve and refine skin naturally through quality devices that don’t come with a hefty price tag – or demand time-consuming trips to a clinic.
Magnitone actually popularised the ‘handbag facelift’ with its Pebble Pro, a facial sculpting device so small it can fit into your handbag. Now, its Diablo Pro is quickly gaining a cult following for its at-home body contouring abilities, especially when it comes to sagging skin.
What is Magnitone’s Diablo Pro – and why do midlife women love it so much?
The Diablo Pro is a full-body device that combines microcurrent and electrical muscle stimulation (EMS) technology with radiofrequency and massage to target areas most prone to loss of firmness, including the tummy, arms, legs and bum. EMS mimics exercise by sending gentle electrical pulses that contract the muscles. Think of it as a workout that requires very little effort, and still yields results.
The Diablo Pro has six conductive massage heads and three intensity levels that take as little as 10 minutes a day. Magnitone has designed it to slot seamlessly into your daily routine, which is a feature that midlife women are particularly raving about.
One verified shopper left a review of the device saying: “The skin on the inside of my thighs has been saggy since I entered my Fifties and this is the first at-home device I’ve tried that actually works. I use it for just 10 minutes a day and my skin feels firmer. I’ve also noticed a reduction in cellulite on my thighs too, so it’s a winner all round.”
Another woman beamed: “I’m absolutely loving my Magnitone Diablo Pro! It's super easy to use and has definitely been leaving the skin around my tummy feeling firmer and slightly more toned. I can't wait to continue using it to see what results it brings! I've been using it with the Liftoff Gel to enhance the process.”
My review of Magnitone’s Diablo Pro
I trialled Magnitone Diablo Pro on my stomach, hoping to gain some more definition in my abdominal area ahead of my holiday without sacrificing my sanity to endless crunches. To be brutally honest, I hoped it would be a cheat code for defined abs – and I guess, in some ways, it is.
My first impressions were strong: the cordless design is sleek, easy to hold and lightweight in the hand. It was simple to manoeuvre across my midsection without awkward angles or wrist strain. I used it daily for 10-minute sessions, working in slow upward gliding motions as recommended.
The EMS technology produces a surprisingly intense muscle-contracting sensation that feels like a targeted core workout, with rhythmic pulses engaging the abdominal muscles beneath the skin. After a few weeks of consistent use, my stomach appeared noticeably more toned, with better definition on my obliques. My skin looked smoother after each use, too.
That being said, there was still softness around my lower abdomen – but in the Diablo Pro’s defence, it’s a sculpting tool and not a fat melting one. No beauty gadget is a substitute for strength training, but as an at-home beauty-tech treatment designed to enhance definition and improve skin firmness, the Diablo Pro earns its kudos from me.
