Sam Faiers was on glowing form as she stepped out on Tuesday night, and it wasn't all down to pregnancy. The former TOWIE star had changed her hair colour to a very flattering brunette shade. Adding to the whole hot mama-to-be effect was her fire engine red gown, which featured a plunging neckline.

Before going out, she unveiled her new look on Instagram, telling followers: "So excited about my new hair ... It's so different, I love it, mixing it up for Autumn/winter."

Fans were quick to praise the change, pointing out how "sophisticated" and "lush" Sam is looking. Her good friend and hairdresser Inanch Emir, who has been doing her locks for four years, is responsible for switching up her style.

The 24-year-old, who is about five months along, was attending a product launch for Mark Hill with other celebrities including Lindsay Lohan and Made in Chelsea's Rosie Fortescue.

Sam couldn't be happier after announcing the pregnancy with partner Paul Knightley, a handsome property developer. The parents-to-be met a year ago in a bar in Essex after the end of her on-off relationship with fellow TOWIE colleague Joey Essex.

"I love that he's his own man," Sam later wrote of Paul in the book Secrets and Lies: The Truth Behind the Headlines. "He's successful in his own right, really mature, he's not a loud-mouth or attention-seeker or a big drinker. Most importantly he loves and respects me for who I am, but still wants to look after me."

"He's so different to Joey in every way and I knew early on it had potential to be serious," she added. "It just works, he's normal and has no wish for fame, he's not even on social media! He's a genuine, down-to-earth guy who works hard for a nice life. I'm so happy".

The only slight 'bump' on the road to motherhood came when she couldn't get a seat on public transport recently. Sam was in good spirits, though, as she joked about the incident on Twitter, saying: "Busy busy train, no seat for me. Need my pregnant on board badge"
