British broadcaster Ben Fogle has worked on many projects over the years, including Ben Fogle: New Lives in the Wild, Countryfile and Animal Park, as well as his most recent theatre tour, Wild. But there is one role he puts above all others: being a father to his two children, Ludovic, 16, and Iona, 14.
Taking to Instagram, Ben thanked fans who came to see his latest tour of Wild, a live show in which he reflects on the inspiring journeys, people and animals he has encountered throughout his career.
The 52-year-old shared a rare photo of himself with his lookalike children, where Ludovic appears to tower over his father as they pose in warm clothing beside a horse at a stable.
The caption read: "That's a wrap for my Wild theatre tour. Thanks to the 72,000 people who came to watch me live. Now back to my most important job…"
Fans react to Ben's post
Fans were quick to praise the show, with one writing: "Thank you Ben and all the team for another fantastic WILD tour. Till next time."
Another commented: "Lancaster loved you, Ben!" while a third added: "We love watching all your shows – they make great TV and you present them so well. Well done, you deserve your downtime with your family." A fourth said: "Amazing, but this is the best job of all."
Many followers also noted how much Ludovic and Iona have grown. "Your children are getting so tall, wow!!" wrote one, while another added: "I cannot believe how tall the kids have got." A third commented: "Wow! Your kids are growing up so fast!!!"
Meet Ben Fogle's two children
Ben shares his two children with his wife, Marina Fogle, whom he married in 2006 in Portugal. Before welcoming Ludovic and Iona, the couple sadly lost their son Willem, who was stillborn in 2014.
The family live in an idyllic home in Henley-on-Thames, where they keep a number of pets, including two Labradors, Swift and Storm, as well as five horses.
Previously speaking to HELLO!, Ben shared: "I love spending time with the children, that's my favourite thing."
In the past, Ben has spoken about Iona's love of horses, saying: "I love the relationship Iona has with horses. They are her whole world. Even on the coldest, darkest winter morning she is up early and back late. Animals really are like guardian angels. Whenever I'm away, I know that they are looking out for one another."
As for his son, Ben told HELLO!: "Ludo has said he wanted to be a vet pretty much from when he could talk, he loves animals. We have a black Labrador called Storm who he absolutely loves.
"My father – his grandfather – was a vet and he loves going to the veterinary clinic and sitting in on the operations and sitting in on the consultations so I know he would love to work with animals one day."
