Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi and his ex, Dara Huang, are very selective of the photos they share of their son Wolfie, prioritising his privacy as he grows up in the spotlight as part of Princess Beatrice's blended family.
Dara was understandably left shocked when her recent baby photos of her son, whose full name is Christopher Woolf Mapelli Mozzi, sparked an online debate. The architect and interior designer celebrated US Mother's Day on Sunday by enjoying Lego, French lessons and YouTube with her 10-year-old son, before posting a throwback photo of his bright blue eyes and sweeping brunette hair.
Forced to set the record straight on Wolfie's changing appearance as he's aged, she took to Instagram to share a carousel of adorable images of the little boy, who now has hazel eyes.
"Whoa! Never thought a Mother’s Day post about my baby could spark such debate about the colour of his eyes. Since he’s 10 right now, I just wanted to follow up share some photos on how his eyes have changed throughout the years.
"When he was born, yes, most babies are born with the dark grey-blue eyes. And I can tell you now that they are a solid hazel at the moment. I think his eyes are probably here to stay. I don’t tend to post recent photos of him just for safety reasons, but here are some from a few years ago, no longer as a baby. (I definitely miss him every single year)," she wrote.
Fans rushed to compliment Wolfie, describing his eyes as "beautiful" and "adorable."
Mother's Day with Princess Beatrice
Princess Beatrice became Wolfie's stepmother when she married Edoardo in a private Windsor ceremony in July 2020. The couple have since welcomed two daughters, Sienna Elizabeth Mapelli Mozzi, who was born in September 2021, and Athena Elizabeth Rose Mapelli Mozzi, who was born in January 2025.
Wolfie splits his time between his mother's London home and his father's homes in St James' Palace and the Cotswolds.
During UK Mother's Day, Wolfie privately celebrated his stepmother, Beatrice, by giving her a heartfelt gift. Dara shared a photo of him carefully working on a handmade card for the special occasion, alongside the caption: "Making his stepmom a Mother's Day card", followed by a pink heart emoji.
She added: "I taught him how to draw a (bee emoji)."
The trio have developed a close co-parenting relationship, with Dara previously telling Harper's Bazaar: "Wolfie has had two sets of parents trying to help him on both sides, and I just think, 'The more, the merrier.'"
