Rory Culkin is officially a father. The 36-year-old actor and his girlfriend, Kate Arizmendi, have welcomed their first child together, with the couple sharing the exciting news over the weekend alongside the reveal of their baby daughter’s very unusual name.
Kate announced the arrival of their newborn on Instagram Stories on Sunday, revealing that their little girl was born on Saturday, May 23.
Alongside an adorable snap of the baby peacefully sleeping, the new mom joked: "her in the womb while I’m screaming System of the Down."
She then shared the newborn’s striking name, writing: "Havoc Moon born 5/23 at 9:51 we’re so in love w you," followed by crying face emojis.
In another sweet post, Kate shared a second photo of baby Havoc and reflected on the emotional moments after giving birth.
"15 mins after pushing her out and so alert and excited about life already," she wrote, before adding: "also hello girl baby Rory."
The couple first announced they were expecting back in January with a series of intimate maternity photos shared on Instagram.
One striking image showed Kate standing atop a chair in an open field surrounded by mountains, cradling her growing baby bump while wearing a black bralette and jeans.
Another tender snap captured Rory kissing her stomach as the couple prepared to welcome their daughter.
At the time, Kate told followers the pair were "ridiculously excited" to become parents to a baby girl.
Rory and Kate were first romantically linked in 2023 and have kept much of their relationship out of the spotlight, though they have made occasional public appearances together.
Last year, the pair stepped out arm-in-arm at the Independent Spirit Awards in Santa Monica, coordinating in chic black ensembles for the red carpet.
Kate also made their romance Instagram official in late 2023 when she first shared photos featuring the actor online.
Before finding love with Kate, Rory was married to cinematographer Sarah Scrivener from 2018 until their split in 2022.
As the youngest of the famous Culkin brothers, Rory has built an impressive acting career of his own over the years, starring in films including Signs, Scream 4, Lords of Chaos and You Can Count On Me.
Speaking previously about growing up in Hollywood alongside brothers Macaulay Culkin and Kieran Culkin, Rory admitted acting always felt natural to him.
"I started really young and kind of just grew up with it," he said during an interview with Cryptic Rock.
"My brothers are obviously actors, and a couple of my siblings were actors too when they were younger, but they didn't really like it, so they stopped. I did like it, so I kept at it."
