The British Grand Prix, which takes place at Silverstone, is one of the highlights of the British sporting calendar.

For interior designer Brittny Button, it is also an event that holds happy memories.

California-born Brittny, 36, has been married to British Formula One world champion Jenson, 46, since 2022; the couple share Hendrix, six, and Lenny, five.

With the family now based in California, Brittny says that any time they go to Silverstone, it's "a homecoming" for her husband, where he's able to "be around his family and his track".

Last August, Brittny and Jenson gave HELLO! an exclusive interview as he prepared to retire from his full-time racing career.

Watching him race prior to retirement was "impressive," Brittny tells us. "It's what he loved to do, where he thrived. I was so happy our children were able to see him in action before he officially retired, too."

Family time

Now, her husband is fully immersed in family life in California, Brittny reveals.  "His retirement has allowed us to slow down and enjoy being a true family unit," she says. "Having Jenson around more has honestly been such a gift for our whole family. I absolutely love it and the kids do too. There’s something so special about starting our mornings together - getting them ready for school, sharing those little everyday experiences that used to feel rushed or missed."

"Time just flies," she continues. "So for us, being able to soak up these moments and create memories together is incredibly meaningful. We don’t take it for granted. It feels like such a blessing to be in this season of life that we can truly be present with them."

When HELLO! Last spoke to Brittny,  she said that her great hope was that their next chapter would be 'calmer'. Now, she's revelling in the slower moments.  "Weekends have become this sacred family time where we’re just together, fully present without the constant pull of travel or full time work schedules constraining us."

The transition has also brought more time together as a couple. "We love the simple everyday moments; just hanging out, going to work out - even though he intrudes on my workouts," she says. "Evenings are my favourite; once the kids are down, then it’s just us, snuggled up on the couch watching a show."

"We’re finally nearing completion on our forever home, which has been two years in the making," Brittny reveals

They have time for shared interests too. As well as working on a "clean, family-friendly protein beverage," the couple are looking forward to seeing another passion project realised.

"We’re finally nearing completion on our forever home, which has been two years in the making," Brittny, who founded interior design company Button Atelier in 2020, reveals. "A true labour of love and we cannot wait to move in and enjoy everything we’ve poured into it."

Since she launched her company six years ago, former model Brittny has won plaudits for the interior design work she's completed across California.

Her first project, in Palm Springs, remains her favourite.  "I had no idea what I was doing at the time - I was learning along the way - so that's what made it so special," she says. "I didn’t follow any trends or try to fit into any box. I just learned the feel of the home through the architecture, and what I naturally love from a design perspective.

Life is good for the Buttons, she says. "It’s a full beautiful life that feels like a dream come true. I feel so blessed."
