Raising twins while having busy working lives in the spotlight isn't always easy. Just ask one of Hollywood's most beloved A-lister couples, George and Amal Clooney.
Amal, 48, is a Lebanese-British lawyer with a successful international legal career who was launched even deeper into the spotlight when she married the beloved actor George Clooney, 65.
The two are proud parents to twins Alexander and Ella, who were born on 6 June 2017, but managing such a busy working life has meant they have to make certain sacrifices at home.

Extra help
However, with so much to juggle alongside work and family life, the couple revealed that they were forced to hire a private chef to help them out at home and ensure they still ate nutritious meals every day.
George previously shared insight into their eating habits during an interview alongside their private chef, Viviana Frizzi, who is from Italy's Lake Como and has worked for the family since 2013.
"Vivi cooks almost every night for us now because we have the twins. Going out isn't as easy or as interesting as it used to be," he said. "Honestly, Amal and I are such poor chefs that any lesson from Vivi in the kitchen would be like teaching a whale to fly."

With the cooking under expert supervision, Amal and George have more time to spend raising their children, a role they apparently take very seriously.
Hands on parents
When asked by The Guardian in 2021 if the couple use an army of nannies, he responded: "We don't, because it's so important to Amal [to be involved]. We have a nanny four days a week, and the rest of the time it's just us, and during lockdown, it was just us for a full year! I felt like my mother in 1964, doing dishes and six loads of laundry a day."
© Getty ImagesMaintaining family privacy is also at the core of the Clooney family ethos. Amal even said that the couple has a controversial rule for visitors at the home. Speaking to Glamour in 2025, she revealed that she asks to hold onto guests' phones when they arrive to ensure privacy for the family.
Amal explained: "Creating private moments and spaces is becoming increasingly difficult. But that's also why we entertain a lot at home. I now have a phone basket that I use to take everyone's phones away! It's important to get that balance where you have time alone with your family and with your friends, where people feel like you can have a safe and frank exchange."
