Fans of iconic '60s and '70s TV may recognize the name Clint Howard; he has over 200 credits in shows including Star Trek, Gentle Ben, and Cotton Candy, alongside brother Ron Howard. More recently, he has appeared in Arrested Development, Heroes, and the CBS soap The Bold and the Beautiful

But Clint looked worlds away from those on-screen characters during a recent appearance with his wife Kat, rocking a large bushy white beard and a huge smile as he wrapped his arm around Kat, whom he married in 2020.

Clint has been a part of the industry for decades

Clint and Ron have remained close over the years, and in 2021 the brothers published their memoir, The Boys: A Memoir of Hollywood and Family

Their parents, Jean and Rance, were both budding actors who moved their family to Los Angeles to chase their dreams, but it was Clint and Ron who took center stage, with both becoming child actors.

Ron found fame in Happy Days as Richie Cunningham, and they both starred together in The Andy Griffith Show, while Clint worked on How The Grinch Stole Christmas, and Apollo 13, both of which his brother directed.

Clint has also appeared across five generations of Star Trek, starring in Strange New Worlds, Discovery, Deep Space Nine, Enterprise, and the Original Series.

In 1976, the two starred alongside their parents in a version of Huckleberry Finn.

The Howard family continues to live in Burbank, where Rance and Jean settled, and Clint and wife Kat, whom he married in 2020, have a 17-year-old daughter Rafa’ella Erlinda.

On her 16th birthday, Clint paid tribute to his "Raffie," sharing that she is "becoming the warrior woman my dad used to write about."

However, Clint has struggled with addiction issues in the past and Ron has been open about his own regrets in asking his parents to give Clint "more freedom."

He said: "Even when Clint was starting to smoke pot and things like that... I wasn’t using any drugs, but I had really good friends who were and were highly functional and socially responsible about it. And I said, ‘You know, this is not, it’s not a nightmare. This is changing times, relax.'

"So those are regrets that I have."
