Prince Harry, 41, is currently in the UK on a solo visit to mark the one-year countdown until the Invictus Games, which are being held in Birmingham in 2027. So far Harry has given a speech in London and released a statement following his High Court loss. During his trip he will also partake in a number of other engagements and he reportedly has hopes to link up with some family members such as his father, King Charles. But where will Prince Harry be staying while in town, after the debacle over him staying at a royal residence?
Ahead of Prince Harry touching down on British soil, there was a lot of chatter about his accommodation plans. It was reported that King Charles had offered him a room at Buckingham Palace for his trip, but by the time the Duke of Sussex publicly accepted the offer via a statement from his team, the palace reported that it had been rescinded because the deadline was missed. This mix-up playing out on the world stage couldn't have been nice for the Duke who proceeded with his UK plans.

It is likely that a discrete top-secret hotel will be arranged for Prince Harry for the duration of his time in London. It could even be that he stays outside of the city and commutes in for engagements. Did you know that he and Meghan Markle used to reside in Oxfordshire for a short while? Detailing his time there in his memoir, Spare, Harry penned: "We loved it out there. The air fresh, the verdant grounds – plus, no paps. Best of all, we’d be able to call upon the talents of my father’s longtime butler, Kevin. He knew the Oxfordshire house, and he’d know how to turn it quickly into a home. A much-needed change of scenery, a much-needed ally in our corner."

Whatever accommodation Harry settles on, there is no doubt that it will remain completely confidential for the duration of his stay, given the fact that he has heightened fears over security, including terror threats against him.
Why aren't Prince Harry's children with him in the UK?
While it was first believed that Harry's children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet would travel with their mother Meghan alongside Harry, it was then decided they would not. This is due to security concerns the Duke has over their safety while in the UK. This comes after the UK government did not sanction Harry and his family to have royal-family level protection during their trip.
