Meghan Markle has been reunited with her friend Ellen DeGeneres since returning to the UK, as they have been spotted catching up at a quaint country pub. Chat show host Ellen relocated from the US in 2024, purchasing a sprawling farm in the Cotswolds. When she shared a post from her impressive estate on Saturday, her fans had concerns over one thing.
The two images Ellen posted included her on a ride-on lawnmower, tackling their huge patch of grass. The second image also featured a herd of cows, and the star penned: "Farm life is lots of mowing. And mooing."
Attention turned to the cattle, with some concerned that she could be rearing them for slaughter. "Are you raising those cows for slaughter? I hope not [crying emoji]." Another added: "You are cutting the cows' food source."
Others just simply saw the update as a wholesome insight into her countryside life. "Glad you like the farm life! And cows and chickens and pets. Best wishes to all of your family," wrote one and another added about the "beauty" of the cows.
Ellen's six-bed property, Kitesbridge Farm, is located near Swinbrook, Oxfordshire. It was originally purchased for around £15 million and the whole site spans a whopping 43 acres.

Speaking about her break from the spotlight to Graham, Ellen said: "I miss a lot about it, I miss laughing every single day with the writers, I miss the guests, I miss kissing [fellow guest] Colin [Farrell], I miss a lot of it. I think about doing something here.
"It does seem easy to get on television here," she continued. "I just call you up and say, 'I've got nothing to promote, can I just sit on the couch?' And you say, 'Yeah'."
Some viewers at home were left confused by Ellen's appearance on the show, with nothing to promote. "But why is Ellen on Graham Norton?" one questioned, while a second asked: "Why does it look so awkward that Ellen DeGeneres is on the Graham Norton Show?" A third joked: "How much did Ellen DeGeneres pay to get on The Graham Norton Show?"

Speaking to Richard Bacon at Everyman Theatre in 2025, Ellen told him that she and Portia had originally planned to spend three or four months a year in the UK and purchased "a part-time house".
"We got here the day before the election and woke up to lots of texts from our friends with crying emojis, and I was like, 'He got in'," she said. "And we're like, 'We're staying here'."
The couple are now very happy with theirnew life across the pond. Ellen has said: "It's absolutely beautiful. We're just not used to seeing this kind of beauty. The villages and the towns and the architecture - everything you see is charming and it's just a simpler way of life.
