Queen and Prince Charles all smiles despite Prince Harry controversy

It seems that nothing puts a dampener on the Queen and Prince Philip's annual pilgrimage to the Highland Games at Braemar. This year was no exception as they laughed and smiled through the event – with their son Prince Charles also getting in on the act. The bonhomie is a clear indicator that senior royals aren't too fazed by the controversy that has surrounded Prince Harry recently.

Eyebrows were raised during the third in line's high jinks in Las Vegas – where he partied with bikini-clad girls, and was photographed naked. The Prince also sparked privacy concerns after it emerged he had a Facebook account under the pseudonym of Spike Wells. But despite the young royal's behaviour, his father and grandparents seemed relaxed and happy during their public appearance on Sunday. Flanked by the Duke, Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall, the Queen enjoyed traditional games such as the tossing of the caber and the tug of war. And the quartet were full of fun as they watched the children's sack race.

The monarch is patron of the event, and is often pictured at her most animated when she attends. The fact that her husband was back by her side after his recent health scare will no doubt have added to her joy.
