Queen Consort Camilla has allegedly been left feeling "hurt" after her stepson Prince Harry made a series of explosive comments in his eye-opening memoir, Spare.

In an exclusive interview with The Times, Lady Lansdowne – one of Camilla's six royal companions – revealed how the Duke's comments upset the Queen Consort. She explained: "Of course it bothers her, of course it hurts.

"But she doesn't let it get to her. Her philosophy is always, 'Don't make a thing of it and it will settle down — least said, soonest mended.'"

In his bombshell memoir, Prince Harry made a series of critical remarks directed at Queen Consort Camilla. Harry claimed that he and Prince William had pleaded with their father not to marry again and revealed he had wondered whether Camilla would be cruel to him, like a "wicked stepmother", stating that William "long harboured suspicions about the Other Woman".

Harry took his criticism of Camilla further with statements on her character, alleging that she had an agenda to remedy her public image as the "other woman".

Beyond this, the father-of-two later dubbed Camilla "dangerous" in his 60 Minutes interview with Anderson Cooper. "She was the villain, she was a third person in the marriage, she needed to rehabilitate her image," Harry said.

"The need for her to rehabilitate her image… That made her dangerous because of the connections that she was forging within the British press."

Prince Harry will reunite with senior members of the royal family at his father's coronation on 6 May. After months of deliberation, Buckingham Palace confirmed Prince Harry's attendance via a statement shared on Wednesday.
