Sarah Ferguson and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor are currently keeping a low profile amid the controversy surrounding their links to late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Since being evicted from Royal Lodge in Windsor in February, the former couple no longer live together and have not been publicly pictured side-by-side in eight months.

The last time the exes were pictured together in public was at Katharine, Duchess of Kent's funeral at Westminster Cathedral on 16 September 2025, which was attended by senior members of the royal family, including Andrew's brother King Charles and his sister Princess Anne. Sarah and Andrew put on a united front as they were photographed arriving for the Requiem Mass, a Catholic funeral service. Both were dressed in mourning black for the sombre occasion, with Sarah opting for a netted veil while Andrew was suited in a vest and pinstriped trousers.

While the funeral was the last public photograph of the pair, they have since attended the christening of their granddaughter Athena, Princess Beatrice’s youngest daughter, on 12 December at St James's Palace. Sarah was photographed arriving in the backseat of a car.

Though her parents have been staying out of the limelight, Princess Eugenie has made several public appearances amid her pregnancy with her third child, including last week when she was seen leaving private members' club Oswald's in Mayfair

Living situation

Sarah and Andrew were married from 1986 to 1996 – but even after their split, the pair continued to live together at Andrew's Windsor mansion, Royal Lodge. "Andrew and I, we’re the happiest divorced couple in the world – extraordinary, really, isn't it," Sarah previously told USA Today about their unconventional living situation.

"We live in the same house, but then, it's a big house, so that’s ok. But I think it's really good that we believe in compromise and communication and compassion. And family."

In October, it was announced that Andrew would be stripped of his remaining royal titles and honours and would surrender his Crown Estate lease for Royal Lodge. The disgraced royal moved in February, relocating to Charles' Sandringham estate in Norfolk, where he has now taken up permanent residence at Marsh Farm.

Meanwhile, Sarah has not joined him in Sandringham. The former Duchess of York was pictured staying at the luxury Mayrlife wellness spa in Altaussee, Austria in April.

Keeping a low profile

Sarah and Andrew have both kept an ultra-low profile after Andrew was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office in February. While Andrew has been staying on the Sandringham Estate, Sarah has stayed under the radar.

The former duchess was reported to have spent time at Paracelsus Recovery Clinic in Zurich, Switzerland, which she reportedly left in January. She was later claimed to have been spotted at Ballyliffin Lodge & Spa in Donegal, Ireland, in February.
