Harriet Sperling and her bridal party rehearse their wedding entrance - watch

All eyes were certainly on the bride-to-be last night!

Today's weather forecast

It's set to be rather a rainy day in Kemble, Gloucestershire, but things should clear up as the evening approaches.

There's an 80% chance of rain this morning, according to the weather forecast on the Met Office's website.

But this is all good news for the happy couple - and they can comfort themselves with the saying that at least a "wet knot is harder to untie"!

And there wasn't any sign of rain last night as the bridal party arrived, so we've got our fingers crossed...

What is the itinerary for Peter and Harriet's wedding?

Peter Phillips' and Harriet Sperling's wedding is an intimate occasion at a quaint countryside church, meaning there are not the huge-scale public celebrations that we would usually associate with a royal wedding.

Harriet has openly spoken about her deep Christian faith, and the intimate service is likely to reflect that.

However, we're still expecting royal guests to be present, including the King and Queen, and likely the Prince and Princess of Wales, so it's still going to be a high-profile affair.

The couple will exchange vows at All Saints' Church in Kemble, Cirencester, before the reception, expected to take place at Princess Anne's Gatcombe Park estate, HELLO! understands.

While we don't have specific timings, we expect things could begin at any moment, and we'll bring the latest as soon as we have it.

This morning, the final preparations are underway at the church following last night's rehearsal, attended by the bride, groom, and Zara Tindall. Harriet and Peter's daughters were also in attendance.

We've seen urns being brought in, foliage lining the doorway, and giant gold candelabras being installed.

Meet Peter and Harriet's blended family - who are Isla, Savannah, and Georgina?

Peter Phillips and Harriet Sperling's blended family is set to play an important role in their wedding today.

Princess Anne's son Peter, 47, is a father to teenagers Savannah, 15, and Isla, 14, whom he shares with his ex-wife, Autumn Kelly.

Meanwhile, Harriet is mum to Georgina, 13, shared with her ex-husband, Antonio St John Sperling. Georgina was completely out of the spotlight before her mother's relationship with royal Peter.

Savannah and Isla are only rarely seen at public events, but make occasional appearances at Trooping the Colour and Christmas at Sandringham.

To find out more, read the full story on Peter and Harriet's blended family

Real reason Prince Harry isn't attending

Prince Harry won't be attending Peter Phillips' wedding
Prince Harry definitely won't be attending Peter Phillips' wedding, remaining in Montecito with his wife Meghan Markle and their children Archie and Lilibet. While new reports suggest that Harry didn't want to attend due to being left "furious" over press intrusion at Peter's first wedding, HELLO! understands this isn't the case.

The Duke of Sussex simply didn't make the guest list because the pair have "simply lost touch" over the years. An insider told us: "Peter and Harry haven’t spoken for several years and have simply lost touch, so he hasn’t been invited."

Our Senior Editor and Writer Jack Malvern has penned an opinion piece about why Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's exclusion from the royal wedding is a bitter blow, offering insight into their strained relationship.

Crowds and journalists have descended upon the Gloucestershire village of Kemble for the upcoming wedding of Peter Phillips, the son of the Princess Royal.

Security measures, including metal barriers and road closures, have been set up around All Saints Church in the village center, located roughly four miles south of Cirencester. Despite a rainy Saturday forecast, well-wishers braved alternating sunshine and showers at the security cordon, eager for a glimpse of the arriving royals.

The high-profile guest list for Mr. Phillips' marriage to NHS nurse Harriet Sperling is expected to include the King and Queen, the Prince and Princess of Wales, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, as well as Zara and Mike Tindall.

A source on the ground tells HELLO! that the drizzle isn't dampening anyone's spirits as guests begin arriving at the church. Bentley's entertainment are supplying white arrivals to shield guests from the rain.

Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie have arrived, accompanied by their respective husbands, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi and Jack Brooksbank. The York royals, whose disgraced parents Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson haven't been invited, joined forces for the all-important occasion, arriving side-by-side.

The appearance of the York sisters was highly anticipated, as both Beatrice and Eugenie have recently kept a low public profile. The duo has been focusing on their growing families while navigating the continuous media attention surrounding their parents.

Despite the complex family dynamics, Beatrice and Eugenie's presence proves the close bond shared by the late Queen Elizabeth II's grandchildren.

Here comes the bride!

The Wedding of Peter Phillips and Harriet Sperling© Kelvin Bruce
Harriet Sperling looked beautiful accompanied by bridesmaids Isla and Savannah Phillips

Here is the first photo of the bride! Harriet Sperling looked divine in a white column dress with lace detailing on the bodice and a long train. Her dutiful bridesmaids Peter's daughters, Isla and Savannah Phillips, alongside her daughter Georgina, were the perfect little helpers as they helped her with her train.

The girls looked adorable in high-neck, white dresses with floral crowns completing the look. The girls were holding beautiful bouquets complete with splashes of blue.

Thirteen-year-old Georgina looked beautiful in her gown, which impeccably coordinated with her mother's bridal look and that of her new stepsisters. Her central role in the wedding highlighted the close-knit bond developing within this newly blended family. Standing proudly alongside 15-year-old Savannah and 14-year-old Isla, the teenagers presented a wonderful display of unity for their parents' milestone.

Being so close in age has undoubtedly helped the trio forge a strong connection over the past year. In fact, Savannah and Isla - whom Peter, 48, shares with his ex-wife Autumn Kelly - had already warmly welcomed Georgina into the royal fold earlier this spring during a highly publicised joint appearance at the royal family's Easter Mattins service at St George's Chapel.

Princess Kate and Prince William arrive

Leading the glamorous arrivals, the Prince and Princess of Wales delighted onlookers with a stylish appearance. While the couple typically maintains a poised and professional demeanor during official engagements, the romantic setting clearly swept them up. They were seen trading lingering glances, sharing coy smiles, and gently placing hands on each other's backs.

Their joint appearance carried extra significance, considering William had missed his cousin's first wedding years earlier. Peter Phillips was the first of late Queen Elizabeth’s grandchildren to marry, tying the knot with Canadian management consultant Autumn Kelly on May 17, 2008 — five years after they first met at the Montreal Grand Prix.

While 300 guests gathered at St George's Chapel in Windsor Castle - including Peter’s sister and bridesmaid Zara Tindall, and Prince Harry alongside his then-girlfriend Chelsy Davy - Kate attended the ceremony entirely on her own. Prince William was away in Kenya at the time, attending the wedding of his ex-girlfriend Jecca Craig's brother.

Kate looked typically resplendent, wearing a glorious tweed outfit by one of her favourite designers, Roland Mouret. The new design, which was made in a nude shade, featured a fringe-trimmed collar, faux button-fastening, a gentle V-neckline, padded shoulders, and also boasted inverted pleats through the skirt.

Are we seeing the start of the Harriet effect?

Harriet Sperling battled secret pre-wedding jitters

Whenever Princess Kate debuts a new look - whether it's a specific lipstick shade or a simple shawl - the item almost instantly sells out, a phenomenon widely known as "The Kate Effect."

This term highlights the immense economic influence wielded by the Princess of Wales. However, with a polished, intelligent, and charismatic new woman joining the royal family today, it raises the question: are we seeing the dawn of "The Harriet Effect"?

Much like Princess Kate, Harriet Sperling enters the royal family as a relatable everyday citizen. Mirroring the future queen, Harriet exudes a warmth and elegance that is bound to win over the public. An insider told HELLO! that Harriet was taking deep breaths in the car before getting out, calming her pre-wedding jitters in a very relatable moment.

Yet, it isn't just her charm and character that will captivate royal enthusiasts; her effortlessly chic sense of style is poised to make her a major fashion influence in her own right.

The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh were also in attendance at the special event. Duchess Sophie's Beulah London dress featured a pleated skirt featuring the brand's trademark button detailing on the pleated skirt and ruffles on the sleeves.

She pushed the boat out when it came to her accessories; her elegant look was completed by a fabulous, feather embellished hat and an on-trend raffia bag with floral appliques. While her daughter Lady Louise Windsor was nowhere to be seen, the couple were accompanied by their son James, Earl of Wessex, who is currently studying for his A-levels.

King Charles III waves as he's greeted by enthusiastic cheers from the crowd

King Charles was in great spirits as he arrived at the church, flashing a big smile and a wave as he exited his car. The monarch perfectly coordinated with his wife Queen Camilla, matching his butter yellow waistcoat to her bright summery dress.

The engagement between the Princess Royal's son and Harriet, who first began dating in 2024, was officially announced last August. Since then, the couple has been firmly welcomed into the inner circle, even joining Charles and Camilla at Royal Ascot last June, where they were invited to participate in the traditional royal carriage procession onto the Berkshire racecourse.

The wedding coincides with the Epsom Derby, requiring the King and Queen to make a swift departure from the church ceremony to the racecourse. They are scheduled to arrive in time to catch the headline race of the season and present the trophy to the winner.

Among the extended royal family members in attendance at Peter Phillips and Harriet Sperling's wedding were the Earl of Snowdon and his girlfriend, Isabelle de la Bruyère.

David Armstrong-Jones, who is the son of Princess Margaret and Antony Armstrong-Jones, braved the damp weather alongside his partner to join the guests at All Saints' Church in Kemble. The Earl was dressed in traditional British morning dress, wearing a black tailcoat, a waistcoat, striped trousers, and a spotted tie. Matching the Princess of Wales' color palette, Isabelle chose a beautiful peach outfit featuring a silky belted waist, a coordinating clutch, and a straw boater hat.

The Earl's sister, 61-year-old Lady Sarah Chatto, was also there, opting for a classic monochrome look that paired a crisp white shirt with a flared black midi skirt and a matching hat. Meanwhile, his 24-year-old daughter, Lady Margarita, shielded herself from the rain in a purple jacket layered over a baby blue skirt.

Professionally known as David Linley, the Earl is the nephew of the late Queen Elizabeth II. Because Peter Phillips is the late Queen's eldest grandson, the two men are first cousins, once removed.

Zara Tindall was a vision in a fitted periwinkle dress by her go-to designer Rebecca Vallance and a coordinating headband. The groom's sister, who was accompanied by her daughters Mia and Lena Tindall, was on greeting duties, sharing hugs and kisses as she arrived outside the church.

Accessorising to perfection, she completed her look with a pair of silver stilettos and large pearl drop earrings. Meanwhile, her daughter Mia looked adorable in a blue floral dress, debuting her first pair of heels.

We loved this sweet moment of Zara kissing Beatrice' husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, enjoying a sweet family reunion.

Zara has been a big part of the wedding; she attended the rehearsal dinner on Friday evening, dressing down in barrel jeans and a sleek high-necked jacket.

Peter Phillips and Harriet Sperling are officially married!

Peter Phillips and Harriet Sperling depart from their Royal wedding at All Saints' Church

Peter Phillips is officially a married man! We have all the best photos from the magical day as the couple made things official outside the church with a kiss. The rain did not dampen the newlyweds' spirits as they posed for photographs outside All Saints Church, which is located in Kemble, Cirencester, close to where the bride Harriet grew up.

The bride's beautiful dress was custom-made by Emilia Wickstead. British Vogue shared an insight into the creation process. Wickstead and Sperling began the design process by experimenting with various styles, but they quickly agreed on the ultimate silhouette. They envisioned a demure high neckline, elegant long sleeves, layers of fine lace, and a 19th-century-inspired train.

For the fabric, Wickstead chose an exceptionally fine, Nottingham-invented Leavers lace for both the gown and the veil. The lace features a 1900s prairie flower motif, mirroring the native wildflowers of Gloucestershire where both the bride and groom grew up. Prioritizing structure and texture, Wickstead selected Italian ivory crepe for the body of the dress.

The wedding ceremony was conducted by the Reverend Dr. Steve Bullock of All Saints Parish Church in Kemble, while the marriage blessing and wedding address were delivered by the Reverend Nicky Gumbel.

Bride's outfit details

The bride wore an elegant wedding gown designed by Emilia Wickstead, which she accessorized with Jimmy Choo shoes, Pragnell earrings, and the Pragnell family tiara. Her bridal bouquet, crafted by floral artist Millie Richardson, featured sweet peas, lily of the valley, and myrtle. The inclusion of myrtle is a cherished tradition in both Harriet's and the Royal family, symbolising love, beauty, and peace.

The wedding party

Peter Phillips was supported by his longtime childhood friend from Gloucestershire, Mr. Andrew Tucker, who served as his right-hand man. The couple's daughters served as bridesmaids. The trio looked elegant in matching dresses also created by designer Emilia Wickstead, accessorized with earrings from Aspinal of London.

The reception

Following the service, the newlyweds celebrated with family and close friends at a reception held at Gatcombe Park, the home of Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal and Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence. Both the church ceremony and the subsequent reception were organized by trusted, longtime event curator Peregrine Armstrong-Jones of Bentley’s Entertainments.

Sustainable flowers

Millie Richardson also designed and installed the floral arrangements and arches at both the church and the reception venue. In line with an eco-conscious brief, the displays used a wide selection of locally sourced, English-grown flowers. Following the festivities, all of the flowers from the church will be distributed to members of the local community as a thank you for their support during the wedding planning.

Everything we know about the wedding flowers

The wedding's floral arrangements and archways were designed and installed by the renowned floral artist Millie Richardson. Known for crafting thought-provoking displays for weddings, private commissions, and high-profile events, Richardson brought a certain artistic flair to the celebration.

She was a featured designer at this year’s prestigious RHS Chelsea Flower Show, dressing the Embankment entrance's Bullring Gate with a massive, completely seasonal installation created in collaboration with Brambly Hedge, alongside a small garden exhibit. The installation relied exclusively on 100% British ingredients and English garden flowers supplied by Stokesay Flowers.

With a strict focus on environmental consciousness, Richardson's designs extended far beyond single-use elements. In addition to locally sourced cut flowers, she integrated living trees and extensive potted planting throughout both All Saints Church and the reception marquee. Following the wedding, these plants and trees will be carefully removed and permanently replanted.

Mother of the groom Princess Anne looked radiant in yellow

Princess Anne was every inch the proud mother-of-the-groom in her yellow ensemble. The mother of the groom radiated warmth despite the rain as she championed her signature blend of vibrant colour and sustainable fashion in a sunny jacket layered over a red floral-print dress.

Adding a touch of sweet family nostalgia, she topped the ensemble with a vintage yellow silk hat featuring a distinct brimmed bow - a beloved heirloom famously worn to her daughter Zara Tindall’s christening back in 1981.

Several royal guests were wearing yellow, which got us thinking - what is the symbolism behind the colour?

According to colour psychology, the colour yellow carries a unique complexity, acting as a symbol for both vibrant warmth and alertness. Within the field of color psychology, it is frequently linked to sunshine, intellect, happiness, and joy.

Peter Phillips and Harriet Sperling's wedding brought together several extended members of the royal family. The couple both graduated from the University of Edinburgh and have been dating since 2021.

Eleanor's invitation clearly showed she had been offically welcomed into the family. The 29-year-old wore a navy dress, a feathered headband, and a gingham clutch, and was seen holding Sam's arm outside the church.

Samuel, also 29, is a second cousin to Prince William, Prince Harry, and the groom. He wore standard morning dress, including a tailcoat, a grey waistcoat, and striped trousers. The couple joined senior royals, including King Charles, Queen Camilla, and the Prince and Princess of Wales, for the small ceremony.

James, Earl of Wessex, attended the wedding of Peter Phillips and Harriet Sperling on Saturday alongside his parents, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh.

The 18-year-old is rarely seen at public royal events, but he was spotted outside All Saints Church in Kemble, looking notably taller than both of his parents as he arrived for the service. James wore a formal suit that matched his father's, and he greeted his parents as they stepped out of their vehicles. Meanwhile, the Duchess of Edinburgh wore a subtle blue dress with a coordinating hat.

One member of the family was missing from the gathering: James' older sister, Lady Louise Windsor, did not attend. No reason has been given for her absence.

A stylist's verdict on Harriet Sperling's wedding dress

Peter Phillips Marries Harriet Sperling In Gloucestershire© Samir Hussein/WireImage
Harriet's bridal look was reminiscent of Princess Kate's wedding style

Harriet wore a romantic lace gown echoing the Princess of Wales’s signature bridal style with timeless elegance and a regal tiara finish.

"There are subtle parallels with the Princess of Wales in the choice of Emilia Wickstead and the commitment to timeless elegance," fashion expert and luxury stylist Oriona Robb tells HELLO!. "Rather than following fleeting bridal trends, Harriet has chosen a look rooted in craftsmanship, sophistication and tradition. The addition of the Pragnell family tiara makes the ensemble feel both deeply personal and beautifully regal.

"What strikes me most is how effortless she looks. The dress is undeniably grand, yet she wears it with such grace and ease that the overall effect feels timeless rather than formal. It’s a beautiful example of confidence and elegance working hand in hand.

“For me, the most beautiful thing about this look is that you see her before you see the dress. The gown, jewellery and tiara are exquisite, but they never overwhelm her. She looks poised, graceful and genuinely happy, which is ultimately what makes a bridal look unforgettable."
