Prince Harry joked he's got "nothing really happening on top" as he discussed his hair on a new episode of Joe Marler's podcast on Monday.
The Duke of Sussex, 41, took part in a wide-ranging interview on The Celebrity Traitors star's show, Joe Marler Will See You Now – also discussing his children, Prince Archie, seven, and Princess Lilibet, five, as well as how he views his "occupation" six years on from stepping down as a working royal.
In the 42-minute episode, believed to have been filmed during his visit to the UK last week, Harry was asked about his "grooming routine", revealing that all he does is "[expletive], shower and shave".
He also trims his beard "every five or six days" to keep it "a little bit tidy", but admitted that his hair routine is less complicated.
Making rare comments about his balding scalp, Harry sheepishly revealed that he tries "not to look at what's happening".
He said: "Nothing really happening on top, I get a haircut, otherwise I try not to look at what's happening. No. Um, and then, I don't think Jake, you, we don't need to go there."
Prince Harry's changing hair over the years
Harry also cracked jokes about his famous red hair, saying that he prefers to think of it as a "sunset auburn" shade.
In his youth, Harry was known for having thick red hair, which he inherited from his mother Princess Diana's side of the family.
However, the Prince has undergone quite the hair transformation in recent years, as it's begun to look lighter and thinner across the top. It means that in certain lighting, he has a bald patch.
Harry is certainly aware of changes in his hair as he ages, writing in his 2023 memoir Spare about his brother Prince William's hair loss, commenting that his brother's baldness was "alarming" and more advanced than his own.
Luckily, the Prince of Wales, 44, takes a light-hearted approach to his own balding head.
During a visit to the Langstane Housing Association in Aberdeen, he was told about air dryers, but misheard and quickly quipped: "Some of us don't need hair dryers."
Prince Harry opens up about family life with Archie and Lilibet
Elsewhere, the father-of-two revealed how his children support him on "hard" days.
He said: "The resilience of kids is amazing, and the way that they view life is so incredibly refreshing. If a day is hard, one thing I will do is always squeeze my kids that extra extra tight."
It comes after Harry concluded his visit to the UK over the weekend, which included a reunion with his father, King Charles, at Highgrove House in Gloucestershire.
The meeting, which has been kept private, saw Meghan Markle, Archie, and Lilibet meet the King for the first time since 2022.
Harry was visiting the UK to mark the one-year countdown to the Invictus Games, which will be held in Birmingham in 2027.
