Lady Louise Windsor, 22, is embarking on a whole new era - the royal has recently graduated from university and had a brand-new bob haircut just like her mother, the Duchess of Edinburgh. But it is the late Queen Elizabeth II who Lady Louise looks exactly like in a recent photo.

Louise posed for a picture alongside her father, Prince Edward, who was presenting her with a gold Duke of Edinburgh Award at the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh. She was wearing a blue dress with floaty sleeves for the occasion, and her hair was in a half-up, half-down style.

This image is the one that has been compared to an unearthed photo of the late Queen Elizabeth II, which was taken in 1947 in Cape Town, when she was 21 years old. Similarities include their eyes, smile and chin.

When HELLO! Canada shared the pictures side by side, the comments came flooding in. One penned: "Their resemblance is uncanny. They look more alike than any other royals" and another added: "Deffo in the smile!"

Others disagreed and pointed out that she, in fact, shares a resemblance to her father. "I thought she looked like Prince Edward" and: "She is the twin of her father," were among the comments.

A hard-working royal

Now that she's secured her degree, Lady Louise is going to be taking a gap year before properly entering the world of work. It is believed she will spend the next year travelling and volunteering.

Louise doesn't shy away from hard work and even took up a part-time job in a garden centre while she was studying for her undergraduate degree. According to The Sun, her tasks included helping out on the tills, greeting customers, and pruning and potting plants.

A royal insider told HELLO!: "Duchess Sophie and Prince Edward provided Lady Louise and her brother James with as normal an upbringing as possible, and this is clearly reflected in her work ethic. She is very grounded and down-to-earth, you wouldn't know she was a royal. It was her idea to ask for a part-time job. She's very hard-working."

Louise and her brother James were given HRH titles at birth, which they could choose to use when they turned 18, but so far, Louise has chosen not to do so.

Duchess Sophie has previously spoken about her and her husband's down-to-earth attitude towards raising children, saying: "We try to bring them up with the understanding they are very likely to have to work for a living."
