Meghan Markle shared a glimpse of two rarely seen family members as she celebrated her 45th birthday this week.
The Duchess of Sussex was seen dancing around her kitchen in a video filmed by her husband Prince Harry and shared on Instagram as she marked her milestone celebration at home in Montecito, California.
As well as being joined by their two children, Prince Archie, seven, and Princess Lilibet, five, two more much-loved members of the Sussex family were also present.
They were the couple's black labrador Pula and beagle Mia, who were refusing to sit still as Harry and Meghan placed party hats on their heads and tried to get them to "sit" for the camera.
© Instagram / @meghanThe couple giggled as Mia rolled on her hat while Pula carried hers in her mouth, prompting Harry to remark: "Oh dear!"
Meghan quickly apologised to her pets and removed the hats, telling them: "Let me take it off! I'm sorry!"
What pets do Meghan and Prince Harry have?
Meghan adopted her beagle Guy in 2015 before she married Prince Harry in 2018. Guy moved with them to the US, but Meghan revealed her beloved rescue had sadly passed away in a post on Instagram in January 2025.

The Sussexes also own chickens, who live in a coop named "Archie's Chick Inn".

Meghan turned 45 on Tuesday, sharing two black-and-white pictures of herself jumping into a swimming pool while holding balloons.
In the caption, Meghan expressed her gratitude to her followers for the birthday wishes she received, writing: "Thank you for the birthday love!"

"Happy birthday to my partner in crime. Love doing life with you one bam bird at a time," Tracy penned, referencing the tile-based game mahjong, which Meghan plays with her friendship circle. "Love you @meghan," she added.
The post showcased Meghan's towering, mahjong-themed cake, adorned with pink flowers, mahjong tiles, and a beautiful illustration of a hummingbird.
