King Charles and Queen Camilla have regularly appeared to be the perfect couple, and that even extends to the fact that the pair have sweet pet names for one another.
However, while many of us might be content with calling our significant other names like 'darling', 'sweetie' or a shortened version of their own name, the monarch and his love have more unique monikers.
Since the early days of their courtship, Charles has called Camilla 'Gladys', while Camilla has called her husband 'Fred'. The names are believed to have derived from The Goon Show, a radio show broadcast on the BBC that ran between 1951 and 1960.
Fred is a character who in the show manages to disappear right from underneath his mother's nose, while Gladys was known for her constantly changing voice and for responding to many questions by saying: "Yes, darling!"
Princess Diana previously said that Charles had previously purchased Camilla a bracelet with the initials of the characters entwined within it. Speaking to biographer Andrew Morton, she claimed: "I walked into this man's office one day and I said, 'Ooh, what's in that parcel?' And he said 'Oh, you shouldn't look at that.
"So I opened it and there was a gold chain bracelet with a blue enamel disc. It's got 'G and F' entwined in it, 'Gladys' and 'Fred'—they were their nicknames."
© Getty ImagesThese aren't the only nicknames for each other that Charles and Camilla have. The King is known to call his beloved 'darling' from time to time, but he also has used 'mehbooba', an Urdu phrase that translates to "my beloved".

The royal couple will be spending the rest of the month in Scotland for their summer holidays, and they're expected to be heading to Balmoral in the coming days.
The couple usually begin their holidays at the Castle of Mey, which was purchased by the monarch's late grandmother, the Queen Mother. Charles inherited the property upon her death in 2002.

He was seen standing by a vase that carried the King's Rose, which was bred by David Austin Roses and named in Charles' honour.
