While the world found out on Wednesday that the Duke and Duchess were relocating to the UK after six years in the US, the King was told on Sunday.

HELLO! Understands King Charles welcomes the opportunity to see more of Harry and his family in a private and personal capacity, but their roles within the royal family will remain unaffected by the move.

However, HELLO!'s Royal Editor, Emily Nash, suggests that not all family members will be as pleased with the surprise news.

Emily Nash explains that Prince William and Kate are likely "not delighted" about the news of Harry's imminent return. She told HELLO!'s A Right Royal Podcast.

"Well, what is intriguing about this is the complete radio silence coming from that end of the spectrum. And what's interesting about it is that they're normally away at this time of year. I imagine they're not delighted about this."

Emily also explained the possibility that other members of the family may "continue to avoid" the couple upon their US return.

"There is a risk, I think, that other members of the family continuing to avoid them," Emily said. "It might make them look petty or unforgiving. Now, there's a lot that would need to be forgiven. Let's be honest about this. And you can absolutely understand why William and Kate might never want to go there.

"You know, their decision to leave affected that whole generation of the royal family."
