Royal family 14 Sept: Duchess Sophie begins agenda-setting trip abroad as royals set for busy week, more

And welcome to HELLO!'s live news on the royal family, and the start of a new week!

Today, Duchess Sophie begins an agenda-setting trip to Zambia, Princess Anne is in Gloucester, and King Frederik and Queen Mary of Denmark conclude their sailing season. 

We've also got much more coming on Meghan's video showing life in the UK for the first time, with such sweet glimpses of Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet!

In Lusaka, Lower Zambezi and Livingstone, Duchess Sophie will undertake a programme of engagements highlighting shared interests, including gender equality, climate and nature, and education and research partnerships. 

The Duchess of Edinburgh will also visit Community House for a meeting with President Hichilema, and she will visit Mosi-oa-Tunya, one of the seven wonders of the natural world, where she will lay a posy at the WWI memorial.

It's the moment we've all been waiting for since their return to the UK on 26 August. 

Meghan Markle has now shared the first glimpse of the Sussexes' first few weeks back in Britain, and it couldn't be more adorable!

In one clip, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet raced each other through the countryside, while they also splashed in puddles and cosied up to the fire. 

We even heard a brief snippet of Archie's British accent! He shouted "go, go!" before they started their race. 

Previously, we've heard him speak with an American twang, but Meghan has spoken in the past about how her children still pronounce some words the UK way. 

However, royal fans still have one big question remaining: Where were the photographs taken?

Prince George started at Eton College last week - and we've got all the latest analysis of the big royal moment. 

Wearing a dark-blue suit and tie and almost matching his mother in height, the 13-year-old prince smiled broadly as he arrived at Eton College with his parents amid pouring rain. 

Prince William and Kate later released three striking portraits of George wearing his new school uniform, bearing a strong resemblance to his father at the same age. 

Earlier, he had arrived in his "home clothes", wearing almost exactly the same dark navy suit as his father.

Prince William has written a very rare, personal essay on a subject close to his heart ahead of this year's Earthshot Prize event. 

Writing exclusively for The Independent, the Prince said a summer of "devastating" wildfires across Britain served as a "powerful reminder of the risks associated with a warming climate".

In November, the city of Mumbai, India will host the sixth edition of William’s 10-year project to recognise and reward ideas to help save the planet.  

Provisional figures from the Met Office showed the summer of 2026 was the warmest in the UK since records began in 1884, with the average temperature sitting at 16.5C.

Multiple heatwaves led to wildfires, which caused an estimated 2,877 deaths in England, according to the UK Health Security Agency.

While William called the summer conditions "alarming", he said he believes that "urgent optimism" could craft a way forward for humanity.

Prince William and Kate are back from their summer break - and they've just announced their most exciting news yet!

On Monday, the Waleses revealed the exciting news that they will be attending the World Premiere of Digger on 22 September. 

They are attending to support the Royal Film Performance, as it will be the 73rd film delivered by the charity. 

The couple always look so glamorous when attending premieres together, from James Bond to Top Gun, so it's likely we can expect an equally dazzling appearance next week. 

William and Kate are expected to meet star action hero Tom Cruise and other members of the cast, as well as filmmaker Alejandro G. Iñárritu, before entering the cinema to watch the film. 

The Prince is president of BAFTA and is known to be passionate about championing the British cinema industry.

The Prince and Princess of Wales' former local shop has issued an apology after an unexpected disruption nearby. 

Windsor Farm Shop, which was opened by the late Prince Philip in 2001, shared a last-minute notice in a recent newsletter. "We apologise for the short notice," the store said. "Roadworks are currently taking place on Datchet Road, and some signage may indicate that the road is closed."

The store is located on Datchet Road in Old Windsor, Berkshire, a short walk from Windsor Castle and other royal residences such as Adelaide Cottage, where the Prince and Princess of Wales lived until last year before relocating to Forest Lodge. 

The notice continued: "Please be advised that Windsor Farm Shop and Café remain open and operating as usual. Access is still available, and we look forward to welcoming you."

The store thanked customers for their "patience and understanding while these works are carried out."

In March 2024, during the time they occupied Adelaide Cottage, William and Kate were spotted visiting the farm shop.

Following his son's return to the UK last month, King Charles has stepped in to help Prince Harry after Uganda withdrew from his Invictus Games.

The King has made moves to help reinstate Uganda's participation in the tournament, which was founded by the Duke of Sussex in 2014.

According to Sir Clive Alderton, the King and Queen's principal private secretary, Charles was "moved" by General Kainerugaba’s consideration of his opinion. The King apparently encouraged the chief to proceed with preparations for the country's participation in the games, which has now been approved by the General. 

Chris Magezi, the spokesperson for Uganda People's Defence Forces (UPDF), wrote on social media: "The decision follows a telephone conversation between General Kainerugaba and the Principal Private Secretary to His Majesty The King and Her Majesty The Queen of the United Kingdom, the Right Honourable Sir Clive Alderton K.C.V.O."

A fashion model, Princess Olympia of Greece is one of the best-dressed royals in Europe. 

The royal, who recently turned 30, took to the runway for the Conner Ives spring/summer 2027 show during New York Fashion Week, and looked ever so stylish in a daring backless dress. 

Sharing photos and footage from the show on Instagram, Olympia stunned in the figure-flattering lilac dress adorned with floral motifs. The dress featured thin straps and plunged low at the back. 

Olympia's golden hair, which looked longer than ever, was styled in a glamorous 90s-inspired blowout.

The Sussexes have been settling into their new life in the UK after landing on British soil last month. Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been keeping a very low profile in recent weeks, with Meghan giving a glimpse into their UK life in a new video posted on Sunday. 

In a new update, a source tells HELLO! that Meghan has now been spotted driving a large SUV in the Cotswolds, which is where the family have reportedly settled down outside of London. 

The royal was behind the wheel on a solo drive without Prince Harry.

Lady Louise Windsor had a very special supporter at her latest carriage driving event. 

The young royal was back behind the reins for the National British Carriage Driving Championships at Ashfields, Essex on Saturday. Lady Louise's boyfriend, Felix da Silva-Clamp, was there to cheer her on during the competition. 

Felix was spotted proudly supporting his girlfriend from the sidelines while wearing a Royal Windsor Horse Show baseball cap. 

Sara Howe, a carriage driving trainer who sees Louise out competing, previously told HELLO! that Louise and her "lad" are "just lovely"

"He's always been very supportive, but also leaves her alone to get on with the job," Sara shared.

Denmark's Queen Mary and King Frederik X disembarked the Royal Yacht Dannebrog on Monday, concluding their summer sailing season. 

The royal couple were pictured waving to onlookers in Copenhagen as they stepped off the yacht and walked side by side down a red carpet following their summer tour at Nordre Toldbod. 

Mary looked stylish as ever in a white crossbody dress with a matching blazer. The royal had her hair down and swept away from her face with a colourful headband. 

She complemented her modern look with pink pointed-toe heels. 

Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet are moving schools after just two days following security concerns over getting them to and from the original property.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex's children spent two days as new starters, meeting their classmates last week, only for their parents to reluctantly decide to withdraw them on the advice of their security team.

Sources close to the couple have made clear there was no issue with the school itself, but rather with the practicalities of getting them there and back.

Heavy traffic in the area and the distance between the school and where they are living are thought to have been contributing factors, putting their small, private security team under strain. One incident made it difficult for their vehicles to stay in convoy, which raised further concerns.
