The Duke and Duchess of Westminster have made a rare joint appearance during a special visit to Vancouver, Canada. Hugh Grosvenor, a close friend of Prince William, was joined by his wife, Olivia, as the couple stepped out to support a cause close to their hearts last week.
The pair, who married in a lavish ceremony at Chester Cathedral in June 2024, visited the new Big Sisters Mentorship HUB, where they met those benefiting from the charity's work supporting children and young people.
In a post shared on the official Instagram account for Westminster Foundation, the message read: "Last week, the Duke and Duchess of Westminster visited @bigsistersbclm new Mentorship HUB in Vancouver, joined by the Honourable Wendy Cocchia, Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia.
"As part of their wider visit to see Grosvenor’s operations in Vancouver, they also saw first-hand how the Westminster Foundation is supporting the communities where we operate."
The update was shared alongside a series of pictures of the couple meeting various representatives. The post added: "Through the Foundation, we provide long-term support to organisations helping children and young people build confidence, develop skills and access opportunities for the future.
"In British Columbia, the Foundation's multi-year partnership with our Canadian property business is helping Big Sisters expand education and post-secondary programming for young people across the Lower Mainland. The visit was an opportunity to see this work first-hand and hear directly from the young people it supports."
Their appearance formed part of a wider visit to Grosvenor's operations in Vancouver, giving the couple an opportunity to see first-hand how the Westminster Foundation is making a difference in local communities.
