Sarah Ferguson is settling back into UK life after making her first public appearance for half a year last week.
The former Duchess of York, 67, joined her daughters, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, to attend a memorial service for her ex-boyfriend, Paddy McNally, at St Paul's Church in Knightsbridge on Thursday – the first time she'd been seen publicly in six months.
Sarah is now "lying low" as she thinks about her "next stage", her spokesperson told People Magazine.
She is focusing on "embracing her family life and seeing her grandchildren," they added, which will include Eugenie's baby daughter Adelaide, who was born in August.
Sarah is believed to be renting a six-bedroom property in the Home Counties after she was evicted from Royal Lodge in Windsor last year, where she'd lived with ex-husband Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor for nearly two decades.
As for her relationship with Andrew, who now lives on King Charles's Sandringham estate, they are believed to be in contact, though it's not known if they've seen each other in person since her return.
"They have an ongoing cordial and supportive relationship as co-parents and co-grandparents," Sarah's spokesperson added.
Sarah and Andrew share five grandchildren, including Adelaide. Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi have two daughters, Sienna, five, and Athena, one, while Eugenie also has two sons, August, five, and Ernest, three.
Sarah Ferguson returns to public life
Last week, Sarah made her first public appearance in months at the memorial service in London.
In pictures published by the Daily Mail, she was seen looking directly at the camera and wearing a blue suit.
It was the first time she'd been seen since April, when she was photographed by The Sun at the Mayrlife Medical Health Resort in the Austrian Alps.
Her last appearance alongside the royal family was at the late Duchess of Kent's funeral in September 2025.
In September, a representative for Sarah denied reports that she is planning a "tell-all" memoir upon her return to the UK.
Her reappearance in public comes almost a year to the date that she and Andrew had their remaining titles removed by King Charles, alongside the order to vacate Royal Lodge.
In January, the former couple faced further scrutiny after a new release of Epstein files by the US government.
Latest on the probe into Andrew
Detectives are investigating the time Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell spent at the King's private estate in Scotland, it was revealed last week.
Police Scotland said it had received "information" and a probe is at a "very early stage" into the time the disgraced royal spent with the late paedophile financier at Balmoral.
The Daily Express reported the inquiries relate to claims that women were trafficked to the estate.
Pictures previously released by the Department of Justice in the US appear to show Andrew and Epstein on a shooting trip at Balmoral.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We have received information and active inquiries are ongoing, but these are at a very early stage.
"All inquiries are evidence-led, with the needs of victim survivors at the heart of those inquiries.
"We would never confirm details of ongoing inquiries and it would be inappropriate to comment further."
