Who else is loving the heatwave in London right now? Temperatures will continue to rise this weekend, which means we'll be making the most of the sunshine outdoors. One of our favourite annual events - and also very much loved by the Duchess of Cambridge - is Wimbledon, which kicks off on Monday. You'll find us at an alfresco screening, a glass of Pimms in hand and a punnet of strawberries to boot. Read on for more inspiration for things to do in London...

Celebrate Wimbledon with a Tennis Choux

Wimbledon signals the real start of summer! French artisan bakery and pâtisserie PAUL are celebrating the annual tennis tournament with the launch of their tennis choux, Grand Slam lemon tartlet and the strawberry and cream frappé. How good do those juicy red strawberries and fresh cream look? The Wimbledon-inspired range will be available to eat-in or take away at PAUL shops until 15 July.

A soulful Sunday lunch at Quaglino's 

Fancy Sunday lunch with a bit of soul? Quaglino's restaurant are inviting guests to sample their new Soul Sunday menu, served with a side of soulful live music. Highlights on the two and three-course menus include pan fried stonebass, roast beef or roast pork with all the trimmings, and the sharing boards of lamb, veal or chicken. Add bubbles for £22. Next week, the restaurant will play host to singer Jocelyn Brown. The live performance will run from 7pm to late.

Wish Hutong a happy birthday 

One of London's best Chinese restaurants, Hutong, has just turned five. Say happy birthday to the award-winning restaurant, located in the Shard, with a visit to try their special birthday menu. Head Chef Fei Wang has collated some of the restaurant's most popular dishes, starting with the best-loved dim sum dishes and moving on to their signature dish, peking duck. Traditionally hand-prepared in a dedicated duck-roasting kitchen, this dish is the show-stopper of the meal! Wagyu beef in a hot and sour broth and seafood fried rice with dried salted fish and ginger are other standout dishes.

Outdoor film at Lido Lates

If you haven't been to Brockwell Lido yet, shame on you. It's one of London's most iconic open-air swimming pools, and this summer you can get exclusive late night access through DesignMyNight. When you're done lazing around on floats (or doing a few lengths), and making your way through their cocktail and street food offering, take a trip to the wood-fired aromatherapy sauna to stimulate your senses, before drying off and heading home.

Toast the summer with Moet

With summer in full swing, this is the perfect time to take advantage of London's array of rooftop bars. Madison is one of the most luxurious rooftop spaces in the city, so why not celebrate summer at the new Moet Summer Terrace? Enjoy a chilled glass of champagne, martinis and champagne cocktails whilst enjoying the incredible views of London to the sounds of the resident DJs.

Enjoy summer treats at ASK Italian

Mix things up with a feast at ASK Italian, where they have launched their brand new summer menu! Specials include the delightfully delicious Burrata & Sunshine Bruschetta and the Crab & Ricotta Half Moon Pasta. You can then wash down your Italian feast with a thirst-quenching cocktail from ASK's new Summer Cocktails menu - yum!

Get fit at Wimbledon Workout Week

London's favourite tennis tournament is just around the corner and if it's inspiring you to get fit for the summer, then take part in Wimbledon Workout Week. From Monday 25 June until Sunday 1 July, fitness bunnies can join exercise classes with a Wimbledon twist across London. The classes include yoga, HIT, strength and conditioning and will cost just £5 with all proceeds going to Barnardo's. They'll be held at gyms across the city, from WIT, Carifit, Frame and 1Rebel to Pure Sports Medicine, Gymbox, Kula Yoga & Wellbeing and more.

Have a pie on 4th July

It's the 4th July next Wednesday! For those who'll be celebrating the American holiday, get into the spirit at Balthazar London, which is paying homage to its New York roots​​ by transforming ​the​​​ ​iconic​ Boulangerie into ​an authentic ​'American Pie shop'. The restaurant will boast a 'pie wall' installation - oh so Instagrammable! - and serve a range of homemade pies including the classic key lime, banoffee, New York cheesecake and more. And you can find DJ Chloe Caillet taking to the decks in the background!

It's all fun and games at Puttshack

There's a brand new joint in West London to explore! Head down to White City for a super tech indoor mini golf experience. Catapulting mini golf into the future, the food, drink and technology concept has been co-created by the masterminds of pioneering ping pong venue, Bounce and global phenomenon, Topgolf.
