If you love the taste of adventure (and also the taste of gin), but have a boring desk job that doesn’t satisfy either passion, then you may want to start brushing up your CV for the most perfect job of all time. Gin bar Mr Fogg’s is offering the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to travel around the world while tasting gin, following the footsteps of the esteemed adventurer Phileas Fogg himself. The job will take 80 days, and is all in the name of finding the perfect gin and botanicals to be served in their new bar Society of Exploration, opening this Autumn (although who really needs an excuse to travel and drink gin?).

This position is perfect for any gin-loving explorer

The successful applicant will travel all around the globe: from Mumbai to Hong Kong, Tokyo to San Francisco, and New York to Lisbon in an all expenses paid trip, plus will be joined by Britain’s world famous explorer Levison Wood. All they ask is that you’re “formidable, brave and a lover of the unknown”. Plus, it seems like you need to be a dab hand at Instagram, as they do insist that you are well-versed in social media and able to take a “well-lit and well-assembled” photograph. Easy peasy if you’re used to snapping your cocktails every weekend…

MORE: Even though you don't get to travel abroad, you may still love this Yorkshire TEA gin

So if you’re bored of sitting at a computer all day and fancy yourself as a world explorer, this could be the *perfect* position. Applications are open, and if anything, we think we could be a little *over* qualified. But if you aren’t successful, then you can always look forward to the Society of Exploration bar opening in London, where they will be serving the cocktails inspired from around the world.
