An out of this world cocktail experience

the grid

Not all heroes wear capes. The Grid is London's newest immersive experience brought to you from the brains behind Breaking Bad pop-up, ABQ – and they need your expertise to help save the human race. You'll learn how to use Artificial Intelligence tools, drink sci-fi cocktails (we know – it's tough at the top) and defeat the system. Up to the challenge? During the hour and a half slot, you'll be treated to two drinks and a LOT of fun.

Try an Italian aperitivo tasting menu

aperitivo

If your idea of traditional Italian food is just heading out for a pizza, then you have to try the pre-dinner menu at LUCA in Clerkenwell, where you can sample traditional dishes curated by the head chef from one of the oldest restaurants in Italy, Matteo Baronetto of Del Cambio. The four-course menu includes veal marinated in chestnut honey, tomato tart with salted green peach, lettuce leaf with citrus mayonnaise and dried green olives, and the Scotch olive encased in rabbit meat. Plus, to wash it down, you can sip from their exclusive never-tasted-before cocktail menu, where the Martini-based drinks are inspired by the classic aperitivo. The aperitivo trend is blurring the lines between what we drink before and during dinner, and we are definitely up for anything that encourages cocktails... The menu is available from 6 September to 4 October, and costs £35 for four dishes and three cocktails.

You can indulge in the black sesame ice cream with blackberry sorbet (which is incredible), or Camilla's Heart & Sole sneaker, which is an extension of her famed 'Lover' collection featuring cross over heart straps. The pudding consists of a delectable wafer red heart ice cream sandwich with raspberry sorbet and pink meringue. The final sweet treat you'll want to try is the dark chocolate fondant with lemon verbena centre – not one to miss! Ends this weekend.
