Mick Jagger and long-term girlfriend L’Wren Scott have jetted off to India to take in the country’s sights – from city skylines to palaces and a magical music festival – and the power couple have shared the gems with fans on social media sites Instagram and Twitter.

Former model L'Wren took to Twitter on Tuesday to share a stylish snap of herself lounging on a sunbed in a flowing floral-print dress and dark sunglasses."@mickjagger he also takes a good pic composition," boasted the designer.

She shared a variety of artistic shots of herself on the exotic holiday including one of the 46-year-old showing her picture-perfect side profile, pointing at a city skyline lit up by sparkling lights at night.

Rolling Stones star Mick is also visibly in holiday mode, looking relaxed as he is pictured far from the stage. In one snap the rocker is looking sideways at the camera wearing sunglasses. "#palacelife #india @mickjagger #sunset beautiful evening" reads the caption.

In another photograph the duo – who have been dating since 2001 – can be seen snuggling up for a shot of the two of them together. High up with glorious vistas of the city of Jodhpur at night, L'Wren looks youthful and elegant in a yellow and red dress with a hair band sweeping back her long dark locks. Mick, meanwhile, looks handsome in a crisp white shirt.

The pair gave their near-one million fans more sneak peeks into the sightstopping sights along the way. Images included a sculpture of a goddess – captioned by L'Wren as "#ganga 10thcentury found in #Osian #jodhpur #beauty #sightseeing" to a photograph of a Jodhpur palace lit up in all its glory – captioned: "#india #palacelife #sunset #jodhpur #lovely".

A shot of L'Wren strolling through a 19th century temple as well as photos of local sari-clad ladies walking through the streets, and action shots of bands and dancers also gave an insight into their exotic travels.

"Had amazing time at @JodhpurRIFF. Wonderful place for a weekend under the full moon, with a great array of musicians from all over the world" tweeted Mick of the music festival the couple attended.
