Multi-millionaire sportsman Tiger Woods was taking no chances so far as privacy was concerned when he tied the knot with his 24-year-old fiancée this week. The golfing ace took over the 112-room Sandy Lane Hotel in Barbados for his Tuesday nuptials to Swedish former nanny Elin Nordegren.

And in line with his role as the world's top golfer, he spared no expense on the wedding which had taken months to organise. He is believed to have spent £1 million on the couple's special day. Ten thousand roses were flown in specially to adorn the banqueting room where vintage champagne and fine caviar were served to guests, including family, fellow golfers and celebrities.

The duo, who are fiercely protective of their privacy, are understood to have exchanged their vows on the beach at sunset.

When it came to arranging his wedding to beautiful Swedish former nanny Elin, the golfing ace really pushed out the boat, hiring the 112-room Sandy Bay Hotel in Barbados for nine days

In order to ensure their fiercely guarded privacy, the golfing star made sure that he, Elin and their wedding invitees were the luxurious hotel's only guests
