Josh Lucas is focusing on how to have a meaningful impact on his son, and in the world.
The Ford v. Ferrari actor, 54, is a dad to son Noah Rev, who he shares with ex-wife Jessica Ciencin Henriquez. In 2022, he started dating meteorologist Brianna Ruffalo, who he later married in Vatican City in July 2025.
Learn all about the 13-year-old below, including his parents' co-parenting relationship and his school life in Bali, Indonesia.
Josh's ex-wife and what he's said about co-parenting
Josh shares Noah, who was born in June 2012, with Jessica, a Colombian-American writer and editor who he met at a dog park in 2011. They became engaged just six weeks after meeting, and tied the knot in Central Park in June 2012.
Jessica filed for divorce in January 2014, and it was finalized later that year, in October.
Josh has previously opened up to People about his and Jessica's approach to co-parenting, which back in 2018 included "bird-nest" parenting, where Noah would remain in his New York City home, while his parents rotated in and out.
"It's really interesting," he told the outlet, noting: "Rarely, do both parents, particularly if they're divorced, get to have as much interaction with their children. We're really, truly doing the split custody thing, and have been so lucky to soak up all that time with Noah."
Jessica also reflected on getting accustomed to co-parenting in a 2015 essay for the New York Times, in which she wrote: "Our boy was the sole survivor of our love, a daily reminder that we'd failed our marriage. My need to succeed as a mother was now, more than ever, necessary."
"I've never doubted my ex-husband's ability to care for our son. After all, he was the one who taught me how to change a diaper and take a temperature," she continued. "If he'd been half the husband that he was a father, we would have made it to our golden wedding anniversary and been buried side by side. I wasn't worried about him, nearly as much as I was about me. I questioned my ability to stop parenting, even for a moment. If there was a mothering switch, I hadn't yet found the dimmer."
Noah went to school in Bali
Jessica, Josh and Noah all lived, albeit separately, in a Harlem brownstone after their divorce, but in 2019, Josh revealed that he had relocated to Indonesia to enroll Noah in an environmentally-conscious school.
Speaking on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, he shared: "We came across this school called Green School Bali, and Green School has this amazing tagline … to create the next generation of environmental leaders," adding: "I have this very special seven-year-old child, and I think all of us are trying to figure out how to have an impact in the world, and for myself, the best thing I could do is give my son this extraordinary experience.
