Howard Stern is known being an outspoken, loud media personality, but behind closed doors, the 'shock jock' is a different man, according to his wife Beth Ostrosky Stern.
The 71-year-old met the model and animal activist, 53, in 2000 when he'd separated from his first wife, Alison Berns, who he shares three grown children with.
Despite being on a blind date with another man, she flirtily approached a "grumpy" looking Howard and the rest is history: "We have been together ever since," she later said. Here's what their life looks like today.
Their first meeting
From the first time Beth saw Howard in real life, she was smitten. Despite the fact she was on a blind date with a guy she'd been set up with, it was Howard she was taken by.
"I was 26 at the time," she revealed on Radio Andy, when she recalled how her date was "horrible," and "obnoxious," and so when her future husband walked in, she turned her attention to him.
"I hated my set up," Beth added, however she was super excited to see Howard arrive because her dad and brother were also big fans.
Despite Howard looking like he was "in the grumpiest mood," Beth bowled him over with a chat up line telling him how beautiful his eyes were.
Beth confessed he was taken back and added: "He's very shy in person." But they exchanged numbers and he called her two hours later to invite her over to watch a movie. "I threw my overalls on, put my baseball cap on and we have been together ever since," she said.
They got married twice
The pair quietly tied the knot in October 2008 in a restaurant in New York. Kelly Ripa, Mark Consuelos, Barbara Walters, Jimmy Kimmel and Joan Rivers were just some of the celebrities in attendance.
Eleven years later, Howard got down on one knee again and during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, asked Beth to marry him again.
He gushed: "Darling, you know you have given me the best years of my life," and asked: "I'm gonna say to you now in front of all of my best friends, my sweet love, will you marry me again?"
They had a surprise second wedding on The Ellen DeGeneres Show where it their marriage was officiated by former Bachelor star, Colton Underwood.
Their love for animals
While they considered starting a family together, Beth and Howard decided they were "really fine without children," especially given how invested they are in rescuing and fostering animals.
The couple have worked with North Shore Animal League since the beginning of their relationship, and Beth is the non-profit organization's spokesperson.
Beth gave a glimpse into their life when she spoke to Social Life Magazine in 2023.
"People think my life is very glamorous with Howard and that I have other people doing the messy part of pet foster work. Not true," she insisted at the time. "I am currently fostering 19 kittens and adult/senior cats. That's a lot of poop to scoop. What I have chosen to do with my life is a passion and a 24/7 commitment. I put the animals first since I have no human children."
She also detailed how involved Howard is in the process and said. "He's my best friend. He's just the best, I'm really lucky ... he's my partner in rescuing and our love for animals is what I think bonds us the most."
Low-key life
While their careers are keeping them busy, Beth insists their life together is incredibly laid-back. Despite Howard's huge public persona, she told Access Hollywood: "Everybody thinks, 'Oh, you're married to Howard Stern, you must be laughing all the time,'" she said.
"Yes, we are laughing all the time, but our lives together, it is not crazy. We go to bed at 8 o'clock at night, even on the weekend ... We are definitely not wild and crazy."
