Nicole Kidman has kissed many Hollywood heartthrobs throughout her illustrious career, but one stays with her for all the wrong reasons.

The 58-year-old revealed on Wednesday that she was turned off by her Big Little Lies co-star Alexander Skarsgård because of his "bad breath" during a kissing scene.

Nicole said on the latest episode of the Las Culturistas podcast that Alexander made the terrible mistake of eating a falafel sandwich before they locked lips.

"When Alexander Skarsgård ate a falafel sandwich before we did the scenes in Big Little Lies, I'm like, 'No, no, no, Alex," she quipped.

"'I'm meant to be into you and kissing you – put away the falafel now because the bad breath does not turn me on,'" she recalled.

"I'm sure he did not eat a falafel ever again," Nicole added. "I said, 'No more falafel. Not before you kiss, not before you make love.'"

Nicole said that the taste and smell of a co-star's mouth were "very important" to her, and bad breath was a "deal-breaker."

"I don't think so, honey, if you have bad breath," she continued. "I cannot stand bad breath. This is a deal-breaker for me. You could be the most gorgeous, gorgeous guy, and you came at me with bad breath, I'm like, no."

Nicole added: "If I say, 'Breathe on me,' and I have to recoil, yikes, I'm out. You could not offer me enough money."

Nicole's comments come after she broke her silence on her divorce from Keith Urban. The couple were married for nearly 20 years but separated in September 2025 before finalizing their divorce in January 2026.

Speaking to Variety, the Scarpetta actress looked back on their split and shared her first comments on the matter, noting that 2025 was a difficult year for her. "I was quiet. I had other things going on. I was in my shell."

She then spoke directly about her split from Keith when asked if she was doing all right post-separation. "I am, because I'm always going to be moving toward what's good," she said, noting that her family was and always will remain her number one priority.

"What I'm grateful for is my family and keeping them as is and moving forward," Nicole continued. "That's that. Everything else I don't discuss out of respect. I'm staying in a place of 'We are a family,' and that's what we’ll continue to be. My beautiful girls, my darlings, who are suddenly women."

Nicole and Keith, both 58, met in 2005 and tied the knot a year later, welcoming daughters Sunday Rose, now 17, and Faith Margaret, now 15, during their marriage.

It was specified in the terms of their divorce that neither party would speak poorly of the other. There is also no one person paying the other spousal or child support, and all matters about their children will be decided jointly.

Neither Keith nor Nicole will speak badly of each other for the sake of their daughters

"They will not speak badly of each other or the members of the family of the other parent," their marital dissolution agreement read. "They will encourage each child to continue to love the other parent and be comfortable in both families."
