Playing on-screen love interests spilled into real life for several TV stars, who said "I do" after falling in love on set.
While some, like True Blood's Stephen Moyer, knew they were going to propose within days of meeting their character's better half, others' chemistry on-screen soon fizzled out in the real world.

Kirsten Dunst and Jesse Plemons have starred in several films together, but it was playing a married couple in season two of the FX series Fargo in 2015, where they fell in love.
"We fell in love creatively first," Kirsten told the LA Times in 2021. "He was like a creative soul mate to me and the way we both work." Kirsten revealed that she also told a friend about Jesse: "'I will know this man for the rest of my life. I just know it.'"
Their romance moved quickly, and by May 2016, they had sparked dating rumors before Kirsten confirmed in June 2017 that they were engaged. They welcomed two sons, Ennis Howard, eight, and James Robert, five, before they tied the knot in July 2022 at the luxury GoldenEye resort in Ocho Rios, Jamaica.

While they didn't meet on a TV show, Ted Danson and Mary Steenburgen's romance deserves a mention, as they've been married for almost 31 years after playing a married couple in the 1994 film Pontiac Moon.
Ted proposed one year later on Mary's 42nd birthday, and they've been happily married since October 7, 1995. "I was so clear I didn't want to be with anyone else — couldn't imagine not being with her at all times," he told People in 2018.
"There's no hollow in my heart where I don't love him, or where I doubt this love," Mary said in 2021, adding: "There's no secret place where I say we weren't a thousand percent supposed to spend our life together."

Stephen Moyer knew he wanted to marry his co-star Anna Paquin just days after they began filming the vampire hit True Blood. "By day three or four – oh, this is going to sound so syrupy – but I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her. It was within seconds, really, and it just became a thing," he said on Watch What Happens Live.
The couple married on August 21, 2010, in a private ceremony in Malibu, California. They are now parents to twins Poppy and Charlie, and Anna is also a stepmother to Stephen's two older children from previous relationships.

The couple met on the show in 2012 and married in a secret ceremony in Ojai, California, in June 2014. They welcomed their son in the fall of 2015, but no one knew they were even expecting until her Gilmore Girls co-star Scott Patterson let the news slip months later.
However, after eight years of marriage, their real-life romance ended in August 2022, and Vincent filed for divorce, which was finalized on August 30, 2022.

"We didn't fight it. We went straight for it," Josh said of the couple's connection during an appearance on LIVE with Kelly and Ryan in 2018. After going public with their relationship in the spring of 2012, they announced their engagement in October 2013 and married on April 12, 2014.
They are now parents to two sons, Oliver Finlay Dallas, born May 29, 2014, and Hugo Wilson Dallas, born June 1, 2016.

Mark recently admitted that the couple's fans are "super invested" in their marriage after watching them fall in love on the soap opera. "They watched us fall in love on a soap, and they saw these two characters, like playing boyfriend and girlfriend, like, 'I knew you guys were in love.' And like, yeah, we were. We really, really, really, really were," he explained on the I've Never Said This Before with Tommy DiDario podcast.
Kelly previously said that she knew Mark was 'the one' before she even met him. "I saw my husband in a photograph before I saw him, and I knew," Kelly said during an interview on SiriusXM's Radio Andy.
"I wasn't looking to get married... but when I saw him, the photograph of him, I saw my entire future with him flash before – like I saw it. And I don't believe in any of that, but now I do. Because of that moment."
