Homer Gere is a name you are not likely to forget after he made his Euphoria debut in a jaw-dropping sex scene with Sydney Sweeney.
The 26-year-old appeared in episode seven of the HBO hit as Hollywood heartthrob Dylan Reid, who enjoys a very steamy and intimate experience with Sydney's character, Cassie Howard.
If you thought Homer looks familiar, then it's probably because he bears a striking resemblance to his Hollywood star dad, Richard Gere.

His full name honors his parents
Homer was born Homer James Jigme Gere, and his name honors both of his parents. Richard's father was called Homer, and Carey's dad had the middle name James.
His third name means fearless in Tibetan and is a nod to Richard's Buddhist background.

He was raised in New York
Homer was born on February 6, 2000, in New York City. Richard and Carey raised their son in Westchester, New York, where he attended Tarrytown's private Hackley School.
"Homer is the joy of my life," the Pretty Woman star said when his little boy was two, adding that he was "very smart," and "very funny."

His parents are divorced
Homer's mom, Carey, filed for divorce from Richard in 2012. They had been together for 18 years and married for 11. It was reported that Carey preferred a more active social life, while Richard favored a quiet one.
Despite their breakup, they continued to co-parent Homer. Richard said he would always ensure his work didn't take him away from home for too long. "My film decisions are mostly mine, but I'm very careful about not being away from my son, Homer James Jigme Gere, for very long," he told the Hindustan Times in 2015.
"So, if I have to be away for long, I talk to him about it, and if there is a problem, I don't take up the project. And I have done that. Your family is more important than anything."

He is eager to follow in his parents' footsteps
Homer has made a few red carpet appearances alongside his father over the years, but he is now stepping out on his own. Alongside Euphoria, he is set to appear in The Shards and has featured in multiple short films since 2022.
"As it happens, he just started acting too," Richard told Vanity Fair Spain in 2024. "He has suddenly become interested and seems to enjoy it. He's been writing and directing little movies, so we have this new thing in common."

He has three siblings
Homer is a big brother to Richard's two sons, Alexander, seven, and James, six, with his wife, Alejandra Silva. He also has an older sister, actress Hannah Dunne, 36, whom Carey shares with her ex-husband, actor Griffin Dunne.

He cherishes daily phone calls with his dad
Richard, Alejandra, and their two sons moved to Spain at the end of 2024, but Richard has kept in constant contact with his eldest, and they speak "every day," Homer told Entertainment Tonight in April. "Having that kind of sounding board constantly is amazing," he added.
He is looking forward to their return to the United States, however. "I've been told they're going to move back within the next few years, so hopefully that's the case because I miss them here," he told the Daily Mail last April.
