Eric Dane's daughter Georgia is celebrating a major milestone. The 14-year-old recently graduated from middle school, and her proud mother, Rebecca Gayheart, marked the occasion with an emotional tribute on social media.
On Saturday June 6, 2026, Rebecca shared a photo from Georgia's graduation ceremony, praising her daughter for navigating what she described as an especially challenging year.
"Congratulations Georgia!!! You have graduated middle school and survived an incredibly difficult year," Rebecca wrote alongside the image.
"I am so beyond proud of you – your tenacity, grit and grace has been on full display." The actress went on to welcome Georgia to her next chapter, adding: "Welcome to high school – I have no doubt you're ready. I am so excited for you!"
Rebecca also revealed another achievement her daughter recently earned, noting that Georgia had been awarded an MVP trophy for beach volleyball.
"Not pictured is your MVP trophy for beach volleyball. Bravo, congratulations and I love you so much," she concluded.
Georgia is the younger of the two daughters shared by Rebecca and the late actor Eric Dane. The former couple are also parents to 16-year-old Billie.
The graduation comes just months after the family suffered a devastating loss following Eric's death. The Grey's Anatomy star passed away at the age of 53, less than a year after publicly revealing he had been diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) in April 2025.
Despite the heartbreak, Rebecca's post highlighted Georgia's resilience as she reached an important milestone surrounded by family support.
The Grey's Anatomy star's official cause of death was revealed to be due to respiratory failure, per his death certificate. His long battle with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, known as ALS was an additional underlying cause of his tragic passing.
Prior to his passing, the actor left behind a heartbreaking final interview with his "last words" for his wife of 19 years, Rebecca Gayheart and their two daughters.
Eric shot the Netflix documentary titled Famous Last Words under the condition that it would only be released after his passing, and it came out on February 20.
In the moving interview he was asked to "describe the essence" of his long-time relationship with his wife.
He revealed: "Well, we still love each other deeply. I just think we don't wanna live with each other. But there's a lot of love there. I'll never…I will have never, by the time anybody sees this, have fallen in love with another woman, as deeply as I feel in love with Rebecca. She's the mother of my children and the whole way that thing came about it was so organic and fortuitous."
