Madonna is no stranger to taking advantage of filters when she posts on social media, but fans got a look at her "real" face in her latest appearance, and they were stunned by what they saw.
The 67-year-old appeared filter-free on streamer Gymskin's channel to promote her upcoming new album, Confessions II, and she looked incredible, seemingly lit only by a ring light.
Madonna still looked far younger than her years but appeared more natural than her usually heavily filtered Instagram photos, which often feature her with a completely smooth and tight visage.
Fans praised the "Material Girl" singer for her unfiltered look, with one commenting: "I love that she didn't have this filtered. She looks just fine without all those filters."
A second said: "I like seeing Madonna without filters. Sure she looks older, but I think she looks great. Anyone saying otherwise, please look at other 67 year old people and compare."
"What do you mean, people are shocked by her appearance? For goodness sake, she looks great for a woman who's almost 70," a third added, per the Daily Mail.
Madonna is gearing up to release her 15th studio album on July 3, 2026, which serves as a direct sequel to her iconic 2005 record Confessions on a Dance Floor.
At the Tribeca Film Festival earlier this month, she premiered her short film Confessions II, a visual companion to the album with special appearances by Kate Moss, Julia Garner, and more.
The film spans more than 10 minutes, bringing the first six tracks to life through a continuous cinematic experience. The project includes songs such as "I Feel So Free" and "Bring Your Love," a collaboration with Sabrina Carpenter.
Designed as an immersive visual journey, the film explores themes of identity, freedom and transformation, with each song unfolding as its own chapter while remaining connected to a larger dreamlike narrative.
The premiere was followed by a conversation with director duo David Toro and Solomon Chase, known collectively as TORSO. Together, they discussed the ambitious creative vision behind the project and the inspiration behind Madonna's latest musical chapter.
The glamorous evening happened after Madonna surprised fans with an unexpected performance at a secret pop-up event on Thursday, June 4, in Midtown Manhattan.
Organised in partnership with Grindr as part of Pride Month celebrations, the performance transformed one of New York City's busiest intersections, Times Square, into an impromptu dance party.
Madonna previewed new music from her forthcoming album and encouraged the crowd to embrace freedom, self-expression and joy.
The surprise show generated a frenzy on social media as fans shared videos of the star performing against the iconic backdrop of Times Square's bright lights and towering billboards.
