Kim Kardashian has tripled down on her latest hair transformation. Not only has she cut her hair into an ultra-short bob, but she's also refreshed the look with a deep side part and a striking bleach-blonde color.
The SKIMS founder took to Instagram on June 21 to unveil her latest hair style while dressed in head-to-toe Gucci. Kim's luscious blonde bob channeled pure Old Hollywood glamour, drawing comparisons to look made famous by Marilyn Monroe. Dyed a platinum hue, the hair was styled into voluminous curls with a side parting and chin-grazing cut.
Kim wore a beige trench coat with a simple nude bodysuit layered beneath for a sultry touch. She completed the look with a pair of Gucci canvas heels, embellished with the label's signature horsebit hardware and glossy brown patent leather trim, perfectly matched with a coordinating handbag. For a preppy twist, Kim rocked a navy cap in some of the photos.
A side part simply consists of parting your hair to one side rather than straight down the centre, whether it’s a soft, subtle sweep or a more defined, deep parting. In contrast to a middle parting, this style introduces asymmetry to instantly create the illusion of added volume and a bolder look.
Suzie McGill, Artistic Director at Rainbow Room International, spoke to us about Kim's new look. 'I really love Kim's new hair – it gives off cool-girl energy whilst looking incredibly sophisticated andchic too. Kim has gone back to the blonde side – perfect for the summer months – and has debuted a super-clean, yet still creamy, blonde hue. She has paired this with a lob haircut, styling it with a deep side parting and extreme volume, with curled ends providing movement throughout the hair," she shared.
"For Kim's styling, it looks as though she has had a voluminous, bouncy blow-dry created using round brushes, with a heated styling tool then being used to curl the ends and provide even more volume. The heated styling tool would have been used in different directions to give added body and bounce," she added.
Suzie continued: "If you're thinking about opting for this beautiful white, bottle blonde hue at the salon, ensure it fits into your routine and lifestyle! This blonde requires maintenance to keep it looking its best, with the help of hair treatments to avoid the colour looking dull and the hair becoming damaged. A good silver shampoo should also be used every couple of weeks to ensure no brassy or yellow tones are in sight."
Kim's close friend, Lauren Sanchez, gushed over her new look in the comments section. "Yes!!!!!!," she penned alongside a series of emojis.
Kim has previously opened up about the maintenance required for her haircare routine, particularly when she transitions from dark brown to bleached blonde. "Yes, the blonde hair. The roots are definitely growing out. I'm going to dye it soon. I'm going to stay blonde for a minute," she said on LIVE back in 2022.
